TOPIC: SUSTAINABLE INNOVATION- SAY NO TO PLASTIC (ISA ACTIVITY)

The concept of sustainable development can be interpreted in many


different ways, but at its core is an approach to development that
looks to balance different, and often competing, needs against an
awareness of the environmental, social and economic limitations we
face as a society. Sustainable innovation is all about
strengthening the capacity to integrate environmental
considerations into development plans and strategies, to manage

Science wealth is used to promote economic recovery and livelihoods. To
sensitize and enrich the learning experience of the students on
sustainable development and innovation; project work has been
given during the summer break. Project work will provide in-
depth investigation and will allow them to apply skills,
knowledge and strategies to do authentic research, think deeply
and draw conclusions.

 LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Students will be able to
 Understand the challenges posed by Plastic Pollution and
rationalize the ways of Plastic Management.
 Align the knowledge gained through project in real life
scenario.
 Implement sustainable and eco- friendly approach.

 Pictorial or Graphical representation of five States contributing to


Plastic Pollution in India
 Consequences of Plastic Pollution
 Suggest five ways of dealing with Plastic Waste at individual,
household and local community level
 Case Study on Germany, Denmark and India focusing on their
Sustainable Approach on Plastic Management (The Research
must include various initiatives taken in form of Projects,
Innovations, Policies and Programmes undertaken for Plastic
Management)

GUIDELINES FOR THE PROJECT

 It should have 8- 10 pages (only hand- written project will be


acceptable).
 It must be done in an A4 size Project File.

 It should be supported with newspaper clippings, magazine articles,


pictures and any other relevant material.

 It must be made from eco- friendly materials without incurring too


much expenditure.
