Simple Ways to Enjoy Life with Heavenly Food

by: Mary Honesty L. Peracullo

Imagine you’re in a lost island for seven days, where nobody is around
and no food to eat. You are very hungry; then suddenly, you see a big, fat,
loud chicken coming out from nowhere. What will you do with it?

Oooooopppss….! Are you thinking of grilling the chicken?

Speaking of grilled chicken, don’t you know that it is one of the most
famous delicacies in the Philippines? In fact, a well-known actor, a pure
Negrense, owns a Chicken Inasal restaurant in Quezon City. Chicken

However, it is not as easy as that.

Do you want to know how to cook it? Would you like your inasal to be
of lower cholesterol and less burnt? Well, here’s a tip: Before diving into
grilling the heaven-tasting inasal, make sure to remove the chicken skin.

Excited? Be obedient to follow the procedure and achieve your

ultimate goal--- the heaven-tasting, mouth-watering chicken inasal. Let me
share to you the Panlasang Pinoy recipe on how to cook it.

First, in a freezer bag or large bowl, mix the chicken, lemongrass, salt,
ground black pepper, ginger, garlic, brown sugar, vinegar, and lemon or
calamansi juice. Second, stir or shake the mixture until every ingredient is
thoroughly mixed. Marinade for one to three hours (if served immediately),
or overnight for the chicken to absorb well the ingredients. Third, in a bowl,
