CAF

CAF means "Caisse d'Allocations Familiales" (Families Allowance Fund). It is a

remboursement on the accomodation rent that you pay , If you are a foreign/ French
Student and staying on a rented accomodation, then you can get a subsidy on the rent
you pay , for which , from India you need your Birth Certificate Apostilled and translated
into French.
According to the new International Law, in order to process any formalities in other
countries, everyone has to carry an 'Apostil of the birth certificate'. Unfortunately this
cannot be done from France. You must do this process in India, and there are multiple
attestation service companies that can do this for you.

Your birth certificate MUST have your name on it, and the names of both your parents.
Once it is apostilled, you can get it translated at Alliance Française de Bangalore.
