ACADEMIC SESSION JULY, 2019.

Applications on prescribed forms are invited from Medical graduates for admission to
M.Phil/M.P.H/ MS Nursing/Postgraduate Diploma & FCPS-II courses for the Academic Session
(July-2019) at Liaquat University of Medical & Health Science, Jamshoro.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR DEGREE/DIPLOMA COURSES
1) Medical graduate from one of the recognized medical University / college shown in schedules I & II of the
Pakistan Medical & Dental Council Act.
2) Valid Registration with P.M.D.C as Medical Practitioner.
3) One year resident House Job in PMDC recognized institution.
4) FCPS-I certificates for admission to FCPS-II courses only.
05) for M.P.H course:

a) MBBS/BDS with one year house job in PMDC recognized teaching institution and valid registration
with PDMC as Medical/ Dental practioner.
OR
b) B.Sc Nursing graduates registered with Pakistan Nursing Council with 02 years postqualification
experience in a regocognized teaching institute/ hospital.

c) the successful candidates will be short listed through interviews.

4) Foreign Graduates will have to produce equivalence of their degree from PMDC.
B. ENTRY TEST FOR ADMISSION TO M.S NURSING PROGRAMME
ACADEMIC SESSION (JULY -2019)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
1) 03 years General Nursing Diploma i.e RN.
2) 01 year Mid-wifery Diploma or Post Basic Specialty Diploma.
3) 02 Years BSN Post RN Degree Programme.
4) 02 Years clinical Experience (Post qualification).
OR
04 years General BSN Degree Programme.
02 years clinical experience including one year internship (bed side care).
5) Valid Registration with PNC
6) CGPA (Cumulative grade point average) not less than 3.
7) No Objection Certificate is mandatory for inservice candidate to appear in entry test.
8) Letter of intent by candidate.
9) Two letters of references from the institute last attended.
10) Male and Female can apply.

Note: (1) Those candidates who have not done POST RN BS Nursing (Two years and Just have passed
three subjects i.e Pakistan Studies, Islamiyat and English from any University are NOT
ELIGIBLE to apply in MS Nursing Degree Programme.
(2) The successful candidates will be short listed through interviews.

GENERAL INFORMATION
1. Application form can be downloaded from University website i.e www.lumhs.edu.pk and can also be
obtained from Postgraduate Medical Centre LUMHS Jamshoro that to be submitted duly filled in at
Postgraduate Medical Centre, LUMHS Jamshoro, along with required documents and supported with non
refundable pay order / Challan of PKR. 3500/- in favor of Vice Chancellor, LUMHS, Jamshoro.

2. GUIDELINES:
For candidates guidance a Guidelines is also available on www.lumhs.edu.pk and can be collected from
Postgraduate Medical Centre LUMHS Jamshoro.

3. Fee Schedule is as under:

For Pakistani candidates:
Degree Courses Rs. 60,000 per year
Diploma Courses Rs. 35,000 per year
For overseas Candidates:
Degree courses US $ 10,000/- per year
4. The Postgraduate Directorate however reserves the right of any modification in the schedule/ course due to
unforeseen circumstances.
5. The University reserves the right to change the rules and regulations for Postgraduate studies from time to
time.
6. One candidate can not apply for more than one Degree/Diploma Programme.

from and the date interviews for M.P.H candidates only will be
communicated later.
07 Start of Academic Session (July-2019) 01.09.2019
NOTE:
• No Call letters will be issued to the Candidates fro the entry Entry Test/Issuance of Admit Cards, therefore
all the candidates are advised to note the above mentioned important dates as given in the Schedule.
• The Postgraduate Selection committee reserves the right to cancel any admission. However, the candidates
shall have the right to appeal the Competent Authority within two weeks period.
• Inservice Candidates will have to obtain no objection certificate from their employer for applying in
M.Phil/M.P.H & Diploma courses, However they can send a copy in advance along with relevant
documents.
