Collaborative Project 
Guidelines 
Overview & Purpose 
Over the next month, we will be working on a team collaborative project with another 1st 
grade class. You will share ideas, research, questions, and presentations with other 
students working on the same topic. We will explore several technology-based tools to 
communicate with your peers and present your findings. 

Below, you will find instructions and links to the necessary and/or suggested tools that 
will help you to be successful in this team project.  

Content & ISTE Standards 


● (CCSS: RI.1.5)​ - Know and use various text features (e.g., headings, tables of 
contents, glossaries, electronic menus, icons) to locate key facts or information 
in a text.  
● Digital Citizen​ - This project will help you learn how to be a good digital 
citizen and teach you about the many opportunities technology has to offer. 

 

 
Digital citizen is defined as when, “​Students recognize the rights, responsibilities 
and opportunities of living, learning and working in an interconnected digital 
world, and they act and model in ways that are safe, legal and ethical” (ISTE, 
2018).
