Generating and activating a soft licence

In many cases, EIVA allows for software to be activated via a soft licence key instead of a
physical dongle

A soft licence can be given for test, short- and long-term lease, training and temporary
replacement licences.

The licence can be generated and supplied in two different forms:

 By email or other digital delivery

A licence file (softdongle.TXT), that must be saved in the C:\EIVA folder
(recommended) or next to the application .EXE file (if the user does not have
adequate privileges on the C:\EIVA folder).
 By phone
Two codes and a licence, that the user can use to activate the software key. If you
need to obtain the licence by phone, contact the EIVA help desk directly for
assistance.

Activation via Help > About menu option

For most programs, the licence activation process is initiated from the Help > About menu
