The diaries of Charlotte are set just a few years after World War Two.

Women had been able to vote for thirty years, but still regarded as followers and in no way as
leaders:
however now was the time that they started to push against the barriers of tradition and
prejudice. Some
of these times are reflected in her commentary in first time lesbian stories, others in the
