PROCESS FLOW CHART

We use wire rod in coils wire drawing machine to mare rep formation and to
increase the tensile strength then pass to straightening machine, which cut the bar
according to required diameter, which is using as cross wire then bring cross wire to
the welding head.

From the wire drawing machine, we pass spools to the main welding head, which is
used as a long wire and cross wire to produce welded wire mesh.

After that goes to shearing machine for cutting wire mesh according to requirements.

The stacking and loading for final destination.

`
METHOD STATEMENT WIREMESH

APPLICATION PROCESS –

Production sequence is divided into three steps.

1. Receiving of plain wire rod from Emirates Steel.

2. Manufacturing of cold reduced ribbed wire.
3. Manufacturing of wire fabric from cold reduced.

Step 1- Receiving of plain wire rod from Emirates Steel-

a) Plain wire rod (AISI/SAE 1008) is received from Emirates Steel as per the
ordered quantity. Received wire rods are kept in store and is sent inside
the plant as required.

Step 2- Manufacturing of cold reduced ribbed wire-

a) According to the diameter requirement the plain wire rod is checked

and desired rods are shifted inside the plant.
b) The coil is then placed into the wire drawing machine for drawing process.
Drawing of the wire is done through cold reduction. Cast numbers are
noted and then the tag is removed from the coil.
c) Rib formation is done which increases the strength of the wire. In this
process larger plain rod is reduced into smaller ribbed rod satisfying all the
standards (BS 4482).
Step 3- Manufacturing wire fabric from cold reduced steel-

a) Again the cold drawn wire is rolled into coil. Few rolled coils are sent to the
welding machine and are placed in the longitudinal direction, the term is
known as long wire. Some coils are send to the straightening machine
where the coils are straighten and cut to the required length, the term is
known as cross wire.
b) The spools (LONG WIRE) are placed at the main head of the welding
machine while the cross wires are placed at machine perpendicular to
long wire.
c) Prior to placing long wire and cross wire, the machine shall be adjusted
to the requirements such as spacing, diameter, dimension of wire mesh
welding reqirements etc.
d) Process is carried out and welded wire mesh is obtained as per the
required dimensions.
e) The welded wire mesh now pass through a final quality control procedure
and checked for weight, diameter, length, spacing against BS 4483.
STEP 4- Bundling and delivery-
a) After manufacturing wire mesh fabric has to be bundled, tagged for tracebility
and delivered to site. Fabricated wire mesh is stored inside the factory.
In case, if it is stored outside then it shall be covered properly.
b) Along with each delivery, delivery note and MTC Certificate are attached.
