To: School Head / Officer in Charge

Dear Ma’am / Sir,

Greetings of peace!

The Philippine Center for Gifted Education (PCGE) is a non-stock, non-profit organization devoted to raising
awareness about giftedness and gifted education. PCGE aims to actively search for the Filipino Gifted and to provide
them equitable access to programs for the gifted.

One of the accomplishments of PCGE is its own tribute to the 158th anniversary of the birth of Dr. Jose Rizal by
undertaking a nationwide search for the “Mga Bagong Rizal: Pag-asa ng Bayan”. In this project, students from grades
3 to college level were selected to emulate the ideals of our National Hero and to exemplify his excellence,
creativity, passion, and values to the present generation of the youth. The Search has become a biennial PCGE
tradition which has been co-sponsored with Mercury Drug Foundation, Inc.

In this regard, may we invite you to submit nominations to the Mga Bagong Rizal: Pag-asa ng Bayan Awards 2019.
PCGE will be choosing 1 awardee from each region. (Please find attached Call for Nominations, Schedule of
Activities, and Sample Nomination Forms. For more information, you may visit our facebook page @pcgeorg (The
deadline of nomination will be on September 30, 2019).

We are counting on you to help us nurture the children and youth who Rizal call ed the “Bella Esperanza dela Patria
Mia” or the “Fair Hope of the Father land”, keys in sculpting our country for the better.

Thank you very much, we are hoping for your favourable response.

Sincerely,

LETICIA PEÑANO -HO, Ph.D.
