lesson
C.Presenting examples/instances of Show simple examples or demonstrations for students about at rest objects. (book on top of table , sitting properly on a chair.)
the new lesson Ask a question: “is force present on the given examples?”
D.Discussing new concepts and Group Activity:
practicing new skills #1 Group students into 5 and discuss about the activity of the day.
SITUATION 1: Hanging Pen
Hang a pen by a piece of string.
Raise questions:
1. Is the pen at rest or in motion?
2. Are there forces acting on the pen?
Cut the string with a pair of scissors.
Raise a question:
3. What happens to the pen? What could have caused the pen’s motion?
Task the students to answer the questions in the activity sheets.
E.Discussing new concepts and SITUATION 2: Book on the Table
practicing new skills #2 Prepare the needed materials for the second activity.( books)
Task the class to perform the second activity and observe what happens to the book.
F.Developing mastery Answer the given questions after performing the second activity.
(Leads to formative assessment) “Are there forces acting on the book?”

G.Finding practical/applications of All things on earth fall or attached towards the center of the earth.
concepts and skills in daily living When you toss objects up, they will eventually fall. That’s because of gravity.
H. Making generalizations and The force of gravity makes the pen fall down.
