Welcome and thank you for your interest in
CESINE Business School.
Our educational commitment is based on a
transmitter model with a more formative and
international approach which is designed to
foment responsibility. Our students are
encouraged to not only study but to also
reflect, and through gaining an understanding
of the world, prepare themselves for lives of
leadership and service.

The business environment today shows that organisations are

demanding a collection of skills from graduates that are not being
developed in traditional universities. Whereas CESINE graduates are
professionals who are fully capable of integrating themselves within
companies, and for that reason we guarantee international experien-
ces abroad and internships for all our graduates. In the year 2013
CESINE has become the third best university in Spain for internatio-

An International Campus
CESINE Business School, founded in 1993, based in the city of Santander (Spain),
is a bilingual (Spanish – English) non-religious private university. It has consolida-
ted itself as one of the most prestigious institutions in the north of Spain in under-
graduate, postgraduate and executive education.

CESINE Business School has obtained the renowned QS Stars accreditation, beco-
ming only the second Spanish university to do so, with excellent scores in employabili-
ty, infrastructures, social responsibility and quality of teaching.

CESINE Business School is accredited by the Regional Government of Cantabria,

according to Royal Decree 557/1991, art. 19, on the creation and recognition of
universities and the Organic Law 6/2001 of Universities.

The CESINE Bachelor in International Business Management and all MBA programs are
recognised by the Cantabrian Association of Qualified Finance and Economy Experts,
the professional body for finance and economy in Spain.

CESINE is a partner of the London Metropolitan University, with official degrees

granted by said university for the students of CESINE.

CESINE Business School, through London Metropolitan University, carries out annual-
quality audits, a procedure which is obligatory for all British and affiliated universitie-
sand centres, that guarantee that all UK university institutions follow the same
common guidelines imposed by the UK Quality Assurance Agency.

Ciie, the Centre for Business Research and Innovation, is an institution that has come
about through CESINE’s commitment to the Cantabrian society. It is a meeting point
for debate, creativity and innovation, which serves to help the future social and econo-

Student Life in Santander City
CESINE Business School is located in the university area of Santander (northern Spain),
close to the city centre and only 500 metres from beaches, parks and golf courses.
Santander is also a member of the French club: “Le club des plus belles baies du
monde”.

Santander's international airport enables communication with many important European

cities in less than 1.5 hours: London, Dublin, Munich, Paris, Rome, etc. Santander is
famous for its beaches, picturesque landscapes, surfing and skiing tradition, and moreo-
ver; it is a city steeped in history and cultural activity.

means. All classrooms have a communication system that allows the teacher and the student to use computers as
a teaching aid, which is all supported by an advanced computing infrastructure with 2,500 meters of optic fibre
that connect more than 250 computers and several servers. It also has high speed Wi-Fi.

Scholarships
CESINE Business School and the Ciie Foundation, in their
wish to provide equal opportunities, aim to prevent economic
motivations interfering with the university education of
students. Which is why we offer a wide range of grants and
scholarships for which students are able to apply.

Ciie Foundation Scholarships

The Centre for Business Research and Innovation (Ciie)
awards scholarships to new students of CESINE who
possess the necessary skills and motivation to obtain a
Degree but who do not have sufficient economic resources.
This scholarship will cover between 20% to 70% of the total
cost of the academic year.

Scholarships for students with Brilliant Academic

Records
These scholarships cover up to 70% of the value of the
academic year and are awarded to students with an outstan-
ding academic record.

Grants for Relocating Purposes

Grants are awarded to students from outside of Spain to
cover the living costs and accommodation expenses. These
can cover up to 50% of the total cost of the academic year.

Scholarships for Sports Performance

Scholarships awarded to students with a proven a high
performance in sports. These scholarships range from 10%
to 30% of the total cost of the academic year.

 Housing & Accomodation
CESINE Business School will help students find appropriate accommodation
on their respective campus or nearby and ensure the students satisfactory
integration in the University.

There are 8 residences next to CESINE campus, as well as several students

flats, where students are able to spend their academic year.

Admission Process & Entry Requirements

1 - CESINE’s application form completed in detail, with examination records certified by school
authorities, certified photocopies of all additional educational qualifications already obtained
and English or Spanish language translations of qualifications not issued in English or Spanish.

2 - Evidence of a good academic level.

3 - Mandatory Online exams: IQ test and language exam (English or Spanish). These exams will
be schedule between CESINE Business School, the prospective student and the Agency.

4 - Letter of recommendation, signed by academic referee and sealed in an envelope marked

“Confidential”.

5 - Detailed Curriculum Vitae in English (if the student has professional experience).

6 - Any other relevant information regarding qualifications or previous work experience.

7 - Three recent passport size photographs, signed on the back.

8 - Photocopy of original passport or birth certificate.

9 - Proof of ability to sustain oneself financially for the academic year (official bank statement,
from the last 6 months) (only applies to students who need a visa).

10 - It is the applicants’ responsibility to see that all the above documents reach the International
Office of CESINE Business School before the 20th of July for entry to programmes
commencing in September, and before the 20th of December for entry to programmes
commencing in January.
