Research Problems

This study aims to look into the academic performance of

Grade 2 learners in Mathematics in Aguilar District during the

school year 2019-2020.

Specifically, it aims to answer the following:

1.What is the profile of the Grade 2 learners in Aguilar in

terms of:

a. Age

b. Sex

c. Favorite Subject

d. General Weighted Average in Mathematics in Grade 1

2.What is the profile of the parents in terms of parental

involvement in the pupil learning?

3. What are the factors that affect the Grade 2 learners’

academic performance in Mathematics?

4.Is there a significant difference between the learners’

academic performance and the parent factor when analyzed

according to parental involvement?

5. Based on the findings, what intervention can be

developed to improve the Grade 2 learners’ academic performance

in Mathematics?
