18.1 REINFORCEMENT
18.1.1 Supplying, fitting and fixing in position reinforcement bars conforming to relevant I.S. Code for R.C.C.
work/ R.B. walling including straightening, cleaning, cutting and bending to proper shapes and length as
per details, supplying and binding with 20G annealed black wire and placing in position with proper
blocks, supports, chairs, spacers etc. complete.
(No extra measurement for lap, hook, chair, anchor etc. will be entertained in the measurement as
they are included in the rate) (Upto 1st floor level)

18.2 BEAMS AND JOISTS

18.2.1 Structural steel work in sigle sections including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and
applying a priming coat of red lead paint (up to 4.6m height) from plinth level including
drilling holes, supplying, fitting and fixing with bolts and nuts or welding, if necessary as
directed.

18.2.2 Steel work riveted and/ or bolted/ riveted in built up sections, frame work including

18.3 ROOF TRUSS
18.3.1 Providing fitting, hoisting and fixing of roof trusses including purlins fabricated using MS
circular hollow section conforming to relevant I.S. code, as per approved design and
drawings including providing M.S. cleats, base plates, bolts and nuts and one coat of
red oxide Zinc Chromate primer and two coats of approved enamel paints complete
including fitting necessary cleats etc. for fixing ceiling joists as per design and drawing
as directed.

18.3.2 Providing, fitting, hoisting and fixing of roof trusses fabricated out of combination of any
two or all of the following sections (i) Square section (ii) Rectangular Hollow section of
specification RSH/SHS and (iii) M.S. circular hlollow section of Grade 210 including
purlins, bottom runners and providing M.S. cleat, M.S. angle base plank, bolts and nuts
with red oxide primer including fitting bottom runner and cleat etc. for fixing ceiling joist
as per design complete as directed as per specifications.

18.4 COLLAPSIBLE / ROLLING SHUTTERS

18.4.1 Providing and fixing in position collapsible M.S. shutters with vertical Sq.m. Rs.4,245.50
channels 20mmx10mmx2mm braced with flat iron diagonals 20mmx5mm
size with top and bottom rails of T-iron 40mmx40mmx6mm with 38mm dia
steel pulleys complete with bolts and nuts, locking arrangements, stoppers,
handles including applying a priming coat of red lead paint.

18.4.2 Providing and fixing rolling shutters of approved make made of 80mm wide Sq.m. Rs.3,069.00
M.S. laths interlocked together through their entire lenth and jointed together
at the ends by end-locks mounted on specially designed pipe shaft with
bracket plates, guide channels and arrangements for inside and outside
locking with push-pull operation complete including cost of wire, spring and
hood cover for the shutters.

18.5 WINDOWS / VENTILATORS

18.5.1 Providing, fitting and fixing steel windows/ ventilators (openable) of standard Sq.m. Rs.2,632.90
rolled steel sections as per relevant I.S. Code-1038 joints mitred and welded
with 15mmx3mmx100mm lugs embedded in cement concrete block of M-10
grade including providing and fixing of projecting hinges (not more than
65mm and not less than 15mm wide) bolting device and steel handles, peg
stays of 300mm long etc. complete as per drawing including applying a
priming coat of red-lead paint.

18.5.2 Providing, fitting and fixing steel windows/ ventilators (fixed) of standard Sq.m. Rs.1,554.40
rolled steel sections as per relevant I.S. Code, joints mitred and welded with
15mmx3mmx100mm lugs embedded in cement concrete block of M-10
grade including applying a coat of red-lead primer.

18.5.3 Providing, fitting and fixing steel windows of standard rolled steel sections as per
relevant I.S. Code, joints mitred and welded with 15mmx13mmx100mm lugs embedded
in cement concrete block of M-10 grade including providing and fixing of projecting
hinges (not more than 65mm and not less than 15mm wide) bolting device, steel
handles, pegs, stays of 300mm long etc. complete including providing 12mmx12mm sq.
bars duly welded to steel frame at not more than 12cm c/c applying a priming coat of
red-lead paint etc. complete as per drawing.

18.7 DOOR FRAMES
18.7.1 Supplying, fitting and fixing door frame made of M.S. equal angle of size M Rs.354.60
40mmx40mmx5mm fabricated, welded, mitred and joined as per relevant I.S.
Codes including fitting 8 nos. of M.S. hold fast, providing closing/ holding
device for 2 nos. tower bolts of door for each side and 1 no. for fitting and
fixing Aldrop (for single leaf) to the frame for fixing the door to the frame,
applying primer to all steel surfaces fixing the frame to the wall/ R.C.C.
members by embedding the hold fast securely in C.C. block of M-15 grade
complete at all levels as specified and directed. (Door hinges to be paid as
per relevant item of the schedule of rates).
18.7.2 Providing, fitting and fixing powder coated pressed steel door frame made of 1.25mm/
1.6mm thick sheet of various sizes with necessary hinge jamb, lock jamb, head and
steel base ties at the bottom of the frame. The whole frame shall be welded or rigidly
fixed together by mechanical means with base ties of pressed mild steel angle of size
20x20x1.25mm thick. Frame to be filled up with 1:4:8 P.C.C. after fitting the frame with
brick/ concrete works etc.complete as directed by the department for all levels. (P.C.C.
to be measured and paid for seperately).
