Biography
Dr .C.PARAMASIVAN is an Assistant Professor in the PG and
Research Department of Commerce, Periyar E.V.R. College
(Autonomous), Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. He was born on 20-01-
1975 in Alwarkarkulam, a small village in Thoothukudi District of
Tamil Nadu. His father is K.Chelliah and Mother is C.Arumugam
Ammal, belong to an agricultural labour family.
Educational Qualification
Dr .C.PARAMASIVAN completed his middle school education in
his native village, high school education in Konkarayakuruchi and
higher secondary school education in Srivaikundam. After his school
education he joined B.B.A in Aditanar College of arts and science,
Tiruchendur in the year 1992. He completed M.Com (Business
Finance) from Pondicherry Central University in 1997, M.Phil from
Gandhigram Rural University, Dindigul in 1999 and Ph.D from Periyar
University, Salem in 2010 . He also obtained M.A Economics Degree
from Madurai Kamaraj University, M.B.A Finance from Periyar
University , M.Sc Psychology from Tamil Nadu Open University and
M.L.I.Sc from Periyar University. He passed SLET in Commerce and
NET in Management. He has honored with D.Litt by International
Economic University for his contribution in higher education, women
empowerment and students development.
Teaching Experience
Dr .C.PARAMASIVAN has got teaching experience for over 18
years and started his teaching career as a lecturer in Commerce,
Pasumpon Muthuramalingam Thevar College , Meelaneelithanallur
,Sankarankovil and at Sathakathulla Appa College, Palayamkottai,
Tirunelveli District. He joined as a Lecturer and Head in the
department of commerce, Vivekanandha College of Arts and Science
for Women, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District. He entered government
services as an Assistant professor of commerce in Government Arts
College, Chidambaram, Cuddalore District on 03-02-2010 and from
21-02-2011 he has been working in Periyar E.V.R College
(Autonomous) Tiruchirappalli.
Membership in Professional Bodies
He is a Life member in Association of Economists in Tamil Nadu,
a Life member in Indian Commerce Association, a Fellow member in
United Writers’ Association of India, Fellow member in Indian
Academic Researchers’ Association, Life member in Indian Accounting
Association and Life member in Society for the Advancement of
Library and Information Science.
Editorial Board
Dr .C.PARAMASIVAN is the Editor in Chief of SELP Journal of
Social Science, Research Explorer, Chief Advisory Editor of Tamilaivu
Sangamam, International Journal of Scientific Research in
Multidisciplinary Studies and TAVAN International Journal on
Economics and Banking.
Research and Publication
He has produced 60 M.Phil and nine Ph.D degree holders. He
has also published books titled on Financial Management, Financing
of Small Industries, Human Rights, Information Technology in
Financial Sector, Research Methodology, Women Empowerment, Bank
Finance to SSI. , Financial Inclusion for Inclusive Growth, Inclusive
Banking through Technology Empowerment of Dalit Women through
Micro finance, Micro Enterprise – Prospects and Problems, Social
Entrepreneurship. He has published more than 110 research articles
in National and International journals and presented about 50 papers
in National and International seminars. He has completed MHRD,
ICSSR and UGC sponsored research projects and organized many
seminars and Training programmes in association with UGC, ICSSR,
NHRC, RGNIYD, EDII and ICT ACT.
Contribution to Tamil
Dr .C.PARAMASIVAN is one of the well known public speakers in
Tamil Nadu. He participated in the talk show of all leading Tamil TV
channels like Arattai Arangam in SUN TV, Neeya Nana in Vijay TV,
Makkal Arangam in Jaya TV, Urimaikural in Makkal TV, Aakada
Vikadam in Raj TV and also he has written books in Tamil on
Puluthikattu Pulambalgal , Thechanya Paarvai. Aathalinal Kaathal.
Sathanaikal Sathiyame.
Extension and Social Contribution
He is also acting as coordinator of Training and Placement Cell
and coordinator of Soft Skill Centre of Periyar E.V.R College
(Autonomous) Tiruchirappalli. He is the Secretary of Indian Academic
Researchers Association, Secretary of Tamizhaga Cultural Academy,
District Volunteer of District Legal Service Authority and Joint
Secretary of Lions Club of Tiruchirappalli Woraiyur.
He is an active member of steering committee of NAAC and
Autonomous Review Committee of his college. He is a motivational
and inspirational trainer in soft skill, placement, personality
development, entrepreneurship development, Human rights and
Women and dalit empowerment. He has acted as resource person in
more than 100 programmes across the country.
