SCHENGEN VISA - DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

In general the applicant is advised to provide documentation in original. Additional documentation may be required. In case the applicant cannot give the
VAC the original version of the document, a copy must be added and the original shown at the VAC. Without special instruction, an English translation must
be attached to any documents in Indonesian.

No Document

1 • A completed and signed application form no. 119031, Application for Schengen Visa. (attached on a separate document)
• Visa application is submitted to Global VFS office.

2 • A passport or some other valid travel document. This must:


o be valid for at least six months after your departure from the Schengen area

o contain at least two empty pages

o have been issued during the past ten years.

3 • Photocopy of the first page of the new and old passports and copy of previous Schengen Visa (if available).

4 • For applicant who already take biometric on the previous Schengen Visa need to provide Two color photos not more than six months
old, 3 x 4 size, full face and taken against white background. Photographs that do not conform to these standards will be rejected and
may cause delay in processing the application.

5 • Individual medical insurance covering the cost of emergency treatment and transport home for medical reasons with a minimum
cover of € 30 000.

6 • Sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay. In general, Sweden requires you to have SEK 450 per day/person. The required
amount may be less if for instance you have paid for board and lodging in advance or live with friends or relatives. The embassy requires proof
that you can support yourself, e.g. in the form of a statement of account from your bank or a wage specification for the past three months. If the
person who is inviting you to Sweden will be paying for your support, he/she needs to submit bank statements or wage slips

7 • A copy of your air ticket booking (we advise you not to pay for any air tickets before your visa has been granted).

8 • Copy of confirmed hotel voucher/hotel reservation for the whole period of stay (Must be mentioned hotel address and all guests’
names), we advise you to not confirm the hotel reservation before your visa has been granted.

9 • KIMS / KITAS (for foreign citizens residing in Indonesia.


10 • The invitation (in the original) from the company or organization in Sweden showing both the duration and purpose of the visit and
who will be responsible for supporting you financially during your stay.

11 • A sponsor / guarantee letter from Indonesia (company, institution, organization etc.). The letter should include signature, an official
stamp, the address, telephone number, fax number, employment position of the traveller, purpose of the trip and guarantee of return.

12 • Financial statement the last three months (from the company if the trip is accommodated by a company or a personal Bank Statement
if the trip is accommodated personally) or a sponsor letter from company mention that all expenses will be covered by company

13 • Travel insurance
• Example: Alliance travel insurance, CP Dian 0812 1097 8335

PHOTO SPECIFICATIONS
A Photograph submitted with the application form should comply with the following specifications:

• Latest photograph not older than 6 months


• Colored photograph printed on normal photographic paper
• Should be passport sized 45mm x 35mm
• 70-80% of the photograph should be covered by face
• Full face straight profile photograph, 30-36 mm from point of the chin to head
• Should be taken against a light background
• Should be without sunglasses, hat or cap
• Photograph can be taken with headgear, after consideration on case to case basis if the applicant wears headgear on religious grounds.
• Spectacles should not have toned or reflecting glasses. The frame of the spectacles may not cover the eyes
• The mouth must be closed
Please note that photographs should meet the above mentioned specifications
PROCESSING TIME
Application Processing Time:
Usual application processing time is 14 calendar days excluding the day of documents' submission. A visa application should be submitted at least 15
calendar days before the intended visit and cannot be submitted earlier than three months before the intended date of arrival in the Schengen Area.
Please note that you may be required to appear before a Visa Officer for a personal interview at the Embassy/ Consulate General of Sweden in
Jakarta prior to a decision being taken in your case. Embassy/Consulate General of Sweden also reserves the right to ask for additional supporting
