1【Problem Description】 ID: R00319514

Call drop rate and Handover Success Rate degraded on a particular cell of a site. Other cells CDR and HOSR
was good.

Handling Process:

Checked Alarms in our Site and neighbor sites as well- No alarm found.

Checked Neighbor relations- found ok.

Checked all related parameters for CDR & HOSR- no discrepancy found.

Call drops report and cell to cell handover reports analyzed. And found both issue were due to Uplink
Quality.

Root Cause:

CDR and HOSR was poor due to high interference.

Solution:

Initially, there was BSS drop and supposed to wait till its rectification but after rectification of BSS drop, the
CDR was still poor and HOSR as well.

In Call drops report, it is found that most of the call drops were due uplink quality (M3030H) and in the
same way in cell to cell Handover report, mostly handovers were fail due to uplink quality (H372A).

Both CDR and HOSR were poor due to uplink quality that shows interference in the system.

So we changed Interference Cancel Mode Selection ICC  MRC and enabled EICC off  on.

Suggestion and Summary:

If we are facing CDR problem on counter M3030H and HOSR issue on counter H372A in the network which
means both due to interference issue, then enable below parameters—

Interference Cancel Mode Selection ICC  MRC and enabled EICC off  on
