Background Information:
Due to reasons out of his control, his personal life has become unstable and confusing for him. He has stated
that coming to school is a highlight and a safe place for him. He has begun the year with good and bad days.
Good days see him working to his personal best and engaged, bad days see him disengaged, upset and
distracting for others.

Strengths:
- Willing to help staff and teachers with any small jobs/roles
- Engages in activities that he is highly interested in
- Wants to help other students where he can
- Can work with other students adequately
- Reading and maths are at or near adequate levels

Barriers:
- Can sometimes become negative about himself or the task at hand, it can turn to frustration
and anger at times, this is when he is hardest to get through to
- Sometimes won’t have motivation or interest in a task, if it’s too hard or if he thinks it’s too
hard for him he will waste time or use the excuse it is too hard.
- Writing/Spelling is behind expected level
- Not very enthusiastic about sport or physical activity/extra-curricular activities
- Often doesn’t come to school with adequate food or of poor nutrition
- Doesn’t take care of some of his belongings
