Donald Trump
At this point I don’t know if any facts about Donald Trump are all that unbelievable to the
average American audience. He has made some pretty stupid remarks during his run for the
US Presidency and his actions have sometimes spoke even louder than his words.
While he may be a billionaire real estate magnate, he is also a polarizing figure who has made
disparaging remarks and taken remarkable actions against women, the elderly, and pretty
much everyone else in-between.
He Created A Horrendous
Vodka Brand
Donald Trump has no problem making some incredibly verbose claims about his own
products and Trump Vodka was no different. In 2006, he claimed that every bar in the country
would soon be selling “Trump & Tonics” and “Trump Martinis.” He also said it would
compete with Grey Goose and “demand the same respect and inspire the same awe as the
international legacy and brand of Donald Trump himself.” It tasted like absolute garbage and
failed almost immediately
Here’s the awful commercial which foreshadowed just how awful the game actually was.
He examined all Miss USA
contestants to pick the most
attractive ones in his opinion
Donald Trump believed that the Miss USA pageant contestants should conform to his own
ideas of beauty. According to former contestant Carrie Prejean, Trump personally evaluated
women for attractiveness. It’s apparently called the Trump Rule, and it has made quite a few
women cry.
Bill Maher joked that he would donate $5 million to a charity of Trump’s choice if he could
produce a birth certificate that showed he was not in fact a “spawn of his mother having sex
with an orangutan.”
When Trump proved Maher wrong, the comedian didn’t pay. Trump eventually withdrew the
lawsuit.
Boxer Mike Tyson was convicted of raping 18-year-old Desiree Washington in 1992. Donald
Trump said that, rather than going to prison, Tyson should be able to pay “millions and
millions of dollars” to victims of rape. Trump justified his action by saying “a lot more people
will benefit by what I’m saying than by throwing a man in jail, virtually with no money —
because by the time this ends he won’t have any…”
In 2007, Donald Trump tried to build a reality show with Fox called Lady or a Tramp. Hard
partying girls would be sent to charm school to learn, “the finer points of skills like flower
arranging and needlework.” He said the show would be like a real-life version of My Fair
Lady.
