23rd November 2011 Signal generator with ICL8038CCPD

This function generator I started long ago - as a mature work in high school. Now, after the acquisition of the
oscilloscope, I have decided to finish it, which means that all the symmetries are aligned and equated with the
amplitude of the waveforms. The front panel design is brand new, there are new ebay buttons and all scales are drawn
by oscilloscope measurements.

For all those interested in the scheme of this generator, I managed to get it with the help of the team with the
electronics.ba forum. On this occasion I still thank them 1x. The schemes originate from the "SAM" magazine from
1990 and are divided into the scheme of the generator itself and the scheme of symmetrical power supply:

And now with the help of the popular Rigol DS1052E oscilloscope.
At 6 kHz, the sinusoidal waveform is fairly regular, and the measured value of frequency and amplitude matches the
scale:

At the maximum frequency (94 kHz) there is a distortion of the rectangular shape, probably because of the rapid
change or insufficient time to achieve a sharp bridge, also the slope of the vertical lines is seen:

When it comes to the lowest frequencies, the distortion of the saw is noticeable, the inbound and descending lines are
no longer the arches. What is the frequency of lower arches are more pronounced:

And the irregularities are seen on the sinus, the upper tip is too rounded, the proper sinusoidal shape it has at 6 kHz is
lost:

In rectangular distortion the most pronounced, horizontal lines become hair, and that's pretty. As the frequency
increases the distortion slowly disappears:

I think I would have (GET) a much better risetime on the squarwave by using a current generator at 2 - 5 milliamp. via
transistor, resistor and diode from the V + side.
The same applies to the exar 2206.

With this the rise and fall time will mach each other around 40 to 50 nsec.which is a condsiderable improvement.

Everything I have & know about this generator is written here. It's been 18 years since I built it, so I do not remember
very much;)
Use Google translate, all I know is that it works well and schematics is correct ..
