underarm.

Ogaya was rushed to the Ospital ng Malabon but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police identified the victim as Mark Ogaya, 39, resident of the area; while the gunman
remains unidentified.

Police Major Aldrin Thompson, assistant Malabon City police chief for operations, said
the police have yet to determine the motive behind the killing.

Investigation showed that Ogaya was having a drinking spree with the gunman at the
junk shop at about 7:50 p.m.

A junk shop helper was shot dead by one of his drinking buddies in Barangay Longos in
Malabon City on Sunday evening.

Castro added that Doria, who had allegedly been receiving drug haul deliveries, used
Michael as her contact to other drug personalities.

Police Corporal Jervi Castro, arresting officer, said that Doria was the live-in partner of a
certain Michael, who has been detained at Navotas City Jail for around four years over
drug charges.

Seized from her after the transaction with a police poseur-buyer were five medium-
sized plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing around 382 grams.

After several months of surveillance, members of NPD Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU)
and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted a sting at Doria’s house at
around 12 p.m.

Police seized more than P2.5 million worth of suspected shabu from a woman said to be
a live-in partner of a detained alleged drug personality during a buy-bust operation in
Navotas City Monday afternoon.

The Northern Police District (NPD) arrested Monalisa Doria, 44, resident of Barangay
North Bay Boulevard South (NBBS), Navotas City.

Doria is currently detained at NPD Custodial Facility for proper disposition.

The recovered drugs have a total estimated street value of P2,599,600, police said.

Also recovered were two small sachets containing suspected shabu weighing around .29
gram, which were the subject of the operation.

Elements of the Navotas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine
Drug Enforcement Agency-Camanava (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela)
conducted the sting at about 2:15 a.m.
Retrieved from the suspects were 29 sachets of suspected shabu worth about P8,000,
and the P300 marked money.

Investigation showed that the suspects were arrested after a poseur buyer bought a
sachet of suspected shabu worth P300 from them.

The suspects, who are now under police custody, will be facing charges for violation of
Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The seized pieces of evidence were brought to the Philippine National Police Crime
Laboratory Office at Camp Crame in Quezon City for laboratory examination.

Arrested were John Rosem Ereño, 25, fisherman; Marlene Santos, 50, jobless; Regina
Eugenio, 22, jobless; Michael Angelo Halili, 21, jobless; all residents of the area; and
Renato Eugenio, 37, pedicab driver, resident of Barangay Tangos North, Navotas.

Twenty-nine sachets of suspected shabu were seized from five drug suspects in a buy-
bust operation at Barangay Tangos South in Navotas City Tuesday.

Corporal ruled out possible overloading because the jeepney has a seating capacity for
22 people.

Injured passengers were rushed to the Pantao District Hospital in Libon.

Nineteen passengers, including the driver and conductor, were on board the jeepney,
said M/Sgt. Maribeth Corporal, Libon Municipal Police Station chief investigator .

The conductor had minor injuries.

Initial report from authorities stated the vehicle was traversing a curved portion when it
lost its brakes, and fell down a deep ravine in Sitio Hulandig in Barangay San Jose.

Seven passengers, including the jeepney driver Rolando Olade, suffered serious head
injuries. All of them are still confined in the medical center.

Ten people died, eight others were injured when a passenger jeepney fell into a ravine
in Libon, Albay Tuesday afternoon.
