Diese Installationsanleitung ist vor der Inbetriebnahme genau
durchzulesen. Bei Schäden die durch Nichtbeachtung der
Installationsanleitung verursacht werden, erlischt der Garantieanspruch.

Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
• Der TAL darf nur an dem Novar Brandmeldesystem 8000 betrieben
werden.
• Der Betrieb des TAL ist nur in Innenräumen zulässig.
• Der TAL darf nicht umgebaut oder geändert werden.
Sicherheitshinweise
• Der TAL darf nicht an eine 230V AC Netzspannung angeschlossen
werden.
• Der TAL darf nur im vorgesehenen Temperaturbereich betrieben
werden.
• Servicearbeiten dürfen nur durch eine Fachkraft erfolgen, die mit den
damit verbundenen Gefahren und Vorschriften vertraut ist.
Anschaltung (Fig. 1)
Der Technische Alarmbaustein (TAL) wird auf der Analog-Ringleitung
des Brandmeldesystems 8000 zur Erfassung, Weiterleitung und
Einzelanzeige von technischen Alarmen eingesetzt.

Intended use
• The TAM can only be connected to Novar Fire Alarm System 8000.
• It is only allowed to install the TAM indoors.
• It is not allowed to modify the TAM.
Safety instructions
• It is not allowed to connect the TAM to the mains supply.
• The TAM can only be used in the appropriate temperature range.
• Maintenance and Service of the TAM must be qualified personnel
which is familiar with the regulations and the related dangers.
Wiring (Fig. 1)
The Technical Alarm Module (TAM) is connected to the analog loop of
the series 8000 fire alarm system for recognition, transmission and
individual display of technical alarms.

TAL mit Gruppentrenner, Art.-Nr. 80XX63
Der Gruppentrenner gewährleistet u.a. die Funktionstüchtigkeit der
Anlage, falls ein Segment der Ringleitung durch Kurzschluss ausfällt.
Bei einem Kurzschluss der Ringleitung öffnen die Gruppentrenner vor
und hinter dem Kurzschluss und schalten so den Teil der Ringleitung
zwischen den Gruppentrennern ab. Ein einfacher Drahtbruch
beeinträchtigt die Funktion der Ringleitung nicht.
TAL mit Relais-Ausgang, Art.-Nr. 80XX64 (Fig. 2)
Über die Anschlüsse NC/C (Öffner), oder NO/C (Schließer) steht ein
potentialfreier Kontakt zur Verfügung. Mit dem Auslösen des
technischen Alarmbausteines oder der externen D-Linie wird das Relais
angesteuert. Der Relaisausgang kann in den Kundendaten der
Brandmelderzentrale als Steuergruppe programmiert werden.
Optokoppler-Eingang (Fig. 3)
Über den Optokoppler-Eingang kann ein potentialfreier, externer
Alarmkontakt angeschlossen werden (z.B. Schalter). Der Eingang ist
nicht überwacht.
Der nicht benutzte Eingang der externen D-Linie muss mit einem
10KOhm Abschlusswiderstand beschaltet werden.
Melderparallelanzeige (Fig. 4)
Die Melderparallelanzeige ermöglicht die abgesetzte, optische Anzeige
eines Alarmes. Die maximale Leitungslänge zur Melderparallelanzeige
darf 100 Meter nicht überschreiten! Folgende Melderparallelanzeigen
können angeschaltet werden: Art.-Nr. 781804, 781814 und 801824.
TAM with isolator, Part no. 80XX63
Loop isolators provide the operation in case of a short circuit on the
loop.
The isolators next to the short circuit opens and disables the section
between the two isolators on the loop.
A single wire break does not take affect to the proper operation of the
loop.
TAM with relay output, Part no. 80XX64 (Fig. 2)
The connectors of the 2nd micro switch NC/C (normally closed) and
NO/C (normally open) may be used to control external devices. The
contact will be closed when the TAL has been released. The relay output
may be triggered by a programmed control zone in the customer data of
the FACP.
Optocoupler input (Fig. 3)
It is possible to connect an external alarm contact (e.g. switch) to the
intelligent Technical Alarm Module. The input is not monitored.
The unused input of the external D-Line must be terminated with an
End-of-line 10KOhm resistor.
Remote indicator (Fig. 4)
A remote LED indicator is used for an optical indication of alarm
condition. The maximum length of wire for the remote LED indicator can
not be more than 100 m! The following Remote LED Indicators may be
connected: Part no. 781804, 781814 and 801824.

Anschluss einer externen Meldergruppe (Fig. 5)
An einen TAL kann eine externe Meldergruppe (D-Linie) mit maximal
zehn Standard-Handfeuermeldern (interner Alarmwiderstand jeweils
1KOhm) angeschlossen werden (nicht VdS gemäß). Bei einer
Auslösung wird die Adresse und der programmierte Zusatztext des TAL
angezeigt, an dem die Standardgruppe angeschlossen ist. Die
maximale Leitungslänge der externen D-Linie darf 500 Meter nicht
überschreiten! Der letzte Melder der ext. D-Linie ist mit einem 10KOhm
Abschlusswiderstand zu beschalten.
Wird keine ext. D-Line angeschlossen, so bleibt der werkseitig (ab
Leiterplatten-Index D) eingesetzte 10KOhm Widerstand in Funktion
siehe Abb. 3.

Rückstellung
Die Meldung des TAL ist speichernd.
Die Rückstellung des TAL erfolgt durch Rückstellen der BMZ oder der
entsprechenden Meldergruppe.
Connection of an external detector zone (Fig. 5)
One TAM provides the connection of an external detector zone (D-Line)
with up to 10 conventional Manual call points and an internal alarm
1KOhm resistor per MCP (not according to VdS). If activated the
address and the programmed additional text of the TAM, where the
external zone is connected to, will be displayed. The maximum length of
the cable for the external D-Line must not exceed 500 meters! The last
detector of the external zone must be terminated with a 10KOhm End-
of-line resistor.
If no external D-Line is connected the 10KOhm terminating resistor
(factory default from Hardware index D) must be connected directly to
the terminals refer to Fig. 3.
Refer to Fig. 5 for an wiring example of the external call point zone.
Reset
The TAM activation is latching.
To reset the TAM reset FACP or corresponding zone.
