Project Description

Sport is one of the recreational activities that have a great impact in

Developing the physical. Team sport like Basketball is very popular and

Filipinos are fond of the said sport and is even played in remote area.

Barangay Buntod, Bacong, Negros Oriental is Located at around 1.9 km.

of uphill climb from the town proper has been actively witnessing a number

of informal basketball game played by the people of the barangay.

Based on my survey, it was found out that there is a lack of basketball

Tournament organized. Further, it was learned that only volleyball was the

Only organized tournament held every year.

In view of the above, the proponent found it imperative to propose a

basketball tournament if only to give opportunity for the barangay Buntod

people to experience an organized Basketball Tournament.

This project proposed a Basketball Tournament in Barangay Buntod,

The following are the objectives of the proposed basketball Tournament:

1. To promote awareness of the importance of physical activity.

2. To provide fun and enjoyment among the residents of Barangay

Buntod.6

3. To develop a good relationship between the participating purok.

4. To inspire the citizens of barangay Buntod to play sport.

Guidelines

To be eligible to participate in this tournament:

1.A player must be a resident of the Purok she represents for no less six (6)
months prior to the opening date and duly certified by the designated
kagawad.

2. She must not have played in any professional league. Former or current
school varsitarians may join the competition if given permission by the
school she is a player at.

3. Age requirements must be 20-40 years old. If any player is found to be

unqualified or aver aged, the whole team will be disqualified from the
tournament.

4.Participating teams may have 10-15 players.

5.No team/player shall be allowed to play without wearing uniform

(identical).

6.A team player must be present at the playing court 15 minustes before the
scheduled match, in case a team will not show up after minutes given will
lose by forfeiture.
