Oink, Oink!
The Northeast Montana Fair kicked into
high gear on Tuesday with the first evening
of rodeo action. While fair activities are
busy, busy, BUSY, perhaps the best part
of it is the food, food, FOOD! In fact, some
folks don’t spend a nickel at the fair, yet
they’ll splurge on some good eats and
treats. Here we are, inside of Auzzy’s
Cook Shack which has earned a “top
shelf” reputation not only at the Northeast
Montana Fair, but also the annual Milk River
Catfish Classic, the Montana Governor’s
Cup Walleye Tournament, Warriors on the
Water and beyond, serving his signature
Pizza Burgers, Dilly Burgers, Pulled Pork
Nachos, Redneck Sundaes and more. Now
Auzzy has added a brand new mouthful to
the menu, shown here giving it a flip on
his sizzling-hot grill. Let us introduce you
to the Grilled Cheese OINKER! Loaded
with pulled pork, American cheese and a
tease of Auzzy’s barbecue sauce, the Buzz
crew had a sneak preview on Monday. Our
rating on a scale of one to 10? Maybe an
11. They don’t appear to be all that big,
but when you take that last bite, which is
just as scrumptious as the first, you find
out you just ain’t got room for a chocolate
chip cookie! Auzzy’s Cook Shack is on
the fairgrounds by day and moves to the
grass area west of the grandstands in the
evening (beer garden right there, too). Just
tell ol’ Joe on the deck of the cook shack
that you need an Oinker, and Auzzy will be
flipping another one, piping hot off the grill.
It takes a grilled cheese sammy to a whole
new level. It’s a keeper, Auzzy!
