 BACKGROUND OF PROJECT

This generation should be known as the “golden age of technology”, the rate at
which new technology is being developed is quite astonishing. Everybody in the
world is interconnected through the internet, the world has turned into a “GLOBAL
VILLAGE”. The communication between individuals half way across the world is
possible with the click of a button. People are able to interact with one another
through the help of social networks. The used to generalize the computer-
mediated technology used to interact with the people is known as social media.
One of the first social networking sites was FACEBOOK. Facebook was created by
mark zukersburg in his dorm room with the help of his friends and roomates. The
website was built using many languages such as JAVA, C++, PYTHON, D LANGUAGE
etc.

WHY WE NEED SOCIAL NETWORKING SITE ?

In this modern era, the entire world is being connected by something called
as the Internet. Majority of the people who use internet are childrens and teens
who are the pillars of our future. Hence, according to us we think that there is need
of social networking to sharpen the minds of our youngsters. While talking to and
advising kids on one-to-one basis is considered ideal, social media can do much
more efficiently. It is mostly depend on active participation and sharing of different
content, this makes it so that young people think outside the box and come up with
new content. We can create a voice for voiceless by creating the groups like
“Disability is not inability” in order to make society more conscious of how they
treat the disabled.

These are some of the reasons that we feel social networking site is
become the need of the people.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

 To have an attractive and secured login/logout page to access.

 Make new user account in more user friendly and proper validification of
details.
 Search friends easily on entire network.
 Send friend request to other users to make friends.
 Creating a public profile having Social, Professional and Personal
information.
 Ease of editing of profile anytime you need.
 Upload or share photographs, videos on network.
 Chat online with their friends.
 IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT

1.LOG IN/SIGN UP : The landing page of our social networking site is login
and sign up page where u can register yourself and be a member of website.
2.HOME: After logged in you come to your homepage as shown below in the
picture where u have your profile on left side and post on right side of your home
page.
3.POST and profile edit: On homepage u can upload your post (opinion,
view, problems and their solutions) related to the topic on the website.
4.USERS’ POSTS: The posts uploaded by the users of the website u can
check on the topic webpages related to the topics on site as u can below picture.
5.DATABASE:
We create a database for our website using mysql database system where we use
php language to communicate with the server and sql to communicate with the
database.

We use localhost myphpadmin in order to create our database. Here u can see
that we have created a user table in database named as social_media includes
different fields such as user id, name, password, etc.

In our database we create tables like comments, posts, topics, users, etc . In those
we create different fields (columns) includes like date, time, replys and so on.

User browse: The user who registered, his/her id, password, other details should
store here.below u can see stored id and password of different users entered in
our site.

 WORK DIVISION in terms of ROLES among STUDENTS

YASH SHINDE :- His work is to design the database required to store the data of
the site. He also need to link all web pages included in the networking site to the
database of the website.

SURAJSINGH BISHT :- His work is to create the sessions like login and logout from
the site and also to provide link in order to travel from one webpage to another.

DEEPAK KUMAR :-His work is to create first landing login/sign up page and styling
the webpages using CSS.

ABDUL AHMED :-His work is to make website interacting and responsive as much
as possible using javascript in order to make it dynamic by including different
events and functions.
 SWOT

This social networking website provides a platform which is easy to use, easy
to access and will beneficial to almost every field such as marketing, education,
business, advertisement, society, etc. Our project convert the entire world into a
global village where every person can share their own opinion. Consequently,
increases social interaction and connection.

On the other hand, social networking site has become a great vector for
Trojan which is nothing but a very strong virus. It is easy to access leads to easily
hackable as well. Our details or information is not secured at all, and anyone may
misuse it. Constantly trying to post malware, specifically browser exploits, to this
site.
