Purpose of the document

This document describes how to configure the Voyager™1202G reader and Hyperion 1300G reader
for barcode reading in Lectra applications. This reader has been validated with the following software:

• LeatherScan

• LeatherSupervisor

• LeatherManager

• GPDirectScan
This document is intended for Lectra training staff and technical personnel.

How to use this manual

This document gives the detailed procedure to configure the barcode reader before first use.

Please consider the environment before printing this document.

This scanner CANNOT read barcodes from an LCD monitor so you must print pages containing configuration barcodes.

Installation and configuration

1. INSTALLATION AND INITIALIZATION

To correctly install the barcode reader, follow these two steps in order.

1. Install the driver by launching the following script file :


a. For LeatherSupervisor installation :
[LeatherSupervisor installation folder]\Driver\Honeywell\_Install.bat
b. For LeatherScan installation :
[LeatherScan installation folder]\Driver\Honeywell\_Install.bat
c. For GPDirectScan installation:
[GPDirectScan installation folder]\Drivers\Honeywell\_Install.bat
2. Connect the Voyager™ cradle or the Hyperion reader to the host through the USB connector, using
the corresponding cable:

To reduce the barcode reader beep volume, scan the following barcode:

Scan the following barcode in order to emulate a RS232-based COM port and to be able to use Lectra
applications:

4. OPERATING TEST

4.1 Test with LeatherSupervisor (or LeatherScan)

1. Launch LeatherSupervisor (or LeatherScan).

2. Click on the toolbar to open the Configuration dialog box.


3. Select the Barcodes tab.
4. Select the right COM port.
5. Read the test codes below in the Sample field.

4.2 Test with GPDirectScan

1 Launch GPDirectScan.
2 Open the Configuration dialog box.
3 Select the right COM port.
4 Read the test codes below in the Sample field.

The corresponding text should be displayed.
