TUNING OF PID CONTROLLER
In this project, two processes were consid-
ered one is Quadruple tank process and the
other is CSTR (Continuous Stirred Tank Re-
actor) process. These are majorly used in
many industrial applications for various do-
mains, especially, CSTR in chemical plants.
At first mathematical model of both the pro-
cess is to be done followed by lineariza-
tion of the system due to MIMO (Multi-Input
Multi-Output) process and controllers are
the major part to control the whole process
to our desired point as per the applications
so the tuning of the controller plays a ma-
jor role among the whole process. For tuning
of parameters we use two optimiza-
tions techniques like Particle Swarm Op-
timization, Genetic Algorithm. The above
techniques are majorly used in differ-
ent applications to obtain which gives
the best among all, we use these tech-
niques to obtain the best tuned values among
many. Finally, we will compare the perfor-
mance of each process with both techniques.

Sharm Obhur is a narrow coastal inlet about 10 km long. The maxi-
mum depth at the entrance is about 35 m, which decreases gradu-
ally towards the head. Nine field trips were conducted for hydro-
graphic survey in the Sharm during April 2015 – January 2016 covering
pre-summer transition, summer, pre-winter transi-
tion and winter seasons. In each trip, eight stations along the
central axis of the Sharm were occupied for the measurement of tempera-
ture and salinity. In addition, an Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP)
mooring was deployed near the entrance (at station 2) during 18 February
– 26 April 2015. The vertical structures of temperature and salinity show two
distinct layers — a relatively low saline surface layer and a high saline bot-
tom layer.

Proposed System
The proposed system is implemented in Eye is that is
one of the cloud providers.

I n order to apply security features, a hybrid encryption tech-

nique using the AES and RSA algorithms is used where 128
bit secret key for AES and 1024 bit key for RSA is used.

Upload option leads to a generation of RSA public key-n,

RSA public key-e. RSA private key-d and AES secret key, user
will require to save the RSA private key and AES secret key, As
soon as user tries to upload the data on cloud, the data is first
stored in a temporary directory and after calling AES and RSA
algorithm, requiring the user to enter the AES secret key the file
will get stored into the database permanently corresponding
to the user account and the temporary file get deleted.
Now, when the user wants to access the data stored in cloud
or wants to download the data, it goes through the download
procedure whereby user has to specify the file name to be
downloaded and has to provide the AES secret and RSA pri-
vate key which is kept secret by the user and is known only to
him.

Methods
The proposed system basically consists of two modules :

1. Upload Module: Authentication, Upload, Key Generation

and Encryption.

2. Download Module: Decryption, Download.

MULTI-SOURCE ENERGY NETWORKS FOR
CARGO VESSELS
This project discusses the feasibility of
installing renewable energy generation
technologies on sea-going transport,
taking into account the additional weight
and power consumption.
This research is based on the pow-
er management of a 26,198 tonne
commercial chemical tanker. The
management system would aim
at reducing the number of generators as
well as the power required from burn-
ing fossil fuels. After a process of elimi-
nation of potential technologies based
on feasibility of the project and ship-
board application, the work is focused
towards photovoltaic and wind energy
generation in combination with fossil
fueled engines and Li-ion battery stor-
age covering the higher energy density
needs, and the intermittent nature of re-
newables. The network architecture is
optimized in order to have the highest ef-
ficiency, and reduced system weight. The
results show that successful manage-
ment of the system can lead to reduction
in generator requirement, and energy
despite the weight of extra installations
of photovoltaic and wind energy genera-
tion systems. By reducing the number of
generators and allowing each remain-
ing one to operate near their maximum
power, the specific fuel consumption is
improved, the efficiency is increased, re-
sulting in significant fuel and cost saving,
along with the mass of fuel to be carried
on-board.

ENERGY GENERATION METHODS

The on-board integration of Distributed Gener-

ation (DG) such as PV systems, storage devices,
and modern electronic loads, which are inherent-
ly DC, and the recent innovations in power elec-
tronics have created a drive towards replacing the
traditional AC grid of commercial ships with their
DC counterparts. The aim is to achieve higher
efficiency through the reduction of conversion
stages in incorporating the grid with DC sources
and devices, lower emissions due to the higher
efficiency system, attain more flexibility due to
absence of AC switchboard and hence space uti-
lization, and reduce weight, although with added
complexity.
Wind turbines mounted on ships require ad-
equate differential wind speed over the turbine
rotors and the design of turbine blades may need
some alterations to optimize ship performance in
presence of energy from wind sources. It is how-
ever possible to carry out initial estimation using
the data and characteristics of available Horizon-
tal Axis Wind Turbine (HAWT) in the market, along
with the meteorological wind speed data.

In this project, we propose an

intersection-based connectivity-aware

ad hoc networks (VANETs) to enable
infotainment and interactive applica-
tions, as well as multi-hop Internet ac-
cess in urban environments. iCAR is

PARTIAL DISCHARGE LOCALIZATION
USING HEURISTIC OPTIMIZATION
Genetic Algorithm (GA),
Simulated Annealing (SA),
and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO)

G A is a search technique based on the prin-

ciple of natural selection and genetic re-
production that is expected to converge to a
suboptimal solution after evaluating just a small
subset of the complete search space. Thus, GA
is a suitable solution to reduce the search space
in radio frequency localisation algorithms. The
nature of the genetic code can be distinguished
by the geno- and pheno-types. The information
in the chromosomes describes an individual on
the level of genes, called genotype. In contrast
to the phenotype, which describes the appear-
ance of an individual. Each candidate solution
is an individual, represented by a numeric se-
quence, location of the partial discharge, called
a chromosome. Alleles are the smallest infor-
mation units in a chromosome. If a phenotypic
property of an individual (solution), then these al-
leles combined are called a gene.
