Character
A Character has two skills, one passive and one ultimate.
It doesn’t sound like much, but if you upgrade a skill (read ‘Fight System’ section) it can have an
additional effect.

Characters have a ‘power rating’ called CP, which is increased by increasing their overall stats (via
things such as levels and gear).

Passive is upgraded once character CP reaches 16K and trial quest is cleared.

Level

A character’s basic max level depends on their Rarity:

R = Lv.30
SR = Lv.40
SSR = Lv.50
UR = Lv.60+

You can use various potions (as shown above), obtainable in SP Dungeons, to level your units.

Limit Break

Once a character has reached max level, Limit Break is possible. LB (in short) allows you to ascend to
next rarity, thus raising their max level and unlocking new costumes.

Next to a max level character, you also require Necklace of Evolutions and Magic Books of selected
characters element. These can be obtained in their specific SP Dungeons, except for the Necklaces,
which require a bit more work and are obtained after filling the progression bar.

Necklace of Evolution Magic Book (Red Element)

Awakening

This option allows you to unlock and boost additional stats of your character. They require Water of
Life or Blood of the Demon God and various other items that can be cleared by clearing an assigned
Free Dungeon. Those are obtained by clearing boss stages.

Blood of the Demon God Water of Life

Skill Up

Duplicates give you coins, which you can use to upgrade your Ultimate Skill by a level and thus
increase its power.

It is currently not recommended to use this option though, since coins should be saved for Coin Shop
(section further below).

Gear

Tetora & /u/antonlabz 4

One single unit can wear 6 pieces of gear.
Bracelet – Attack Mainstat – Recommended SSR rarity
Necklace – Defense Mainstat – Recommended SSR rarity
Belt – HP Mainstat – Recommended SSR rarity
Ring – Attack Mainstat – Recommended C rarity – Substat Attack%
Earring – Defense Mainstat – Recommended SSR rarity
Orb – HP Mainstat – Recommended C rarity – Substat HP%

A piece of equip can be upgraded to +5 to raise its Mainstat. Those require Strengthening Stones.
Afterwards, in order to unlock a Substat, an Awakening Stone is required.

Strengthening Stone Awakening Stone

These stones can be obtained by salvaging gear at Diane.

Various gear sets are available and are currently purchasable and farmable in the following chapters:
Chapter 1: Attack
Chapter 2: Defense
Chapter 3: HP
Chapter 4: Crit Damage
Chapter 5: Crit Res

All others can be obtained through Equipment Gacha for now.

Costumes

Costumes are not just cosmetics in this game. Each costume has various substats, and five costumes
can be worn for each slot. So, 5 overall costumes, 5 weapons and 5 hairstyles. Those can be either
unlocked by LB specified characters or can be purchased for gems.

SR Costume = 10 Gems
SSR Costume = 20 Gems
UR Costume = 30 Gems

In order to change costumes, select your desired one and click on the top yellow
button.

Note: Some costumes are shared among the same characters. In order to check how to unlock each
costume, go to the skin selection menu, select a locked skin and press the yellow button. It’ll lead
you either into costume store or limit break screen of a certain unit.

For example, Green SR Gilthunder LB costumes are also unlocked for the Red SSR Gilthunder vice
versa.

There are some cases where costumes aren’t shared between the same character, like the exclusive
Coin Shop Ban.

Fight System
Team

Each team can have 4 characters and 4 supporters. While the main characters are kind of self-
explanatory (since they fight), the supporters are there to boost their assigned characters statuses.

As you can see in the picture below, Jericho is assigned to Ban and his stats improve. That’s not their
only usage though. If you see those crossed swords icon, that means, that Fate Combo is enabled. In
short that’s simply a boost to your main characters ultimate attack and they get a sweet new attack
animation during ultimate attacks.

Tetora & /u/antonlabz 6

The unit assigned in Sub is swapped in, once one of your main team character dies.

I highly recommend building your own team, but if you are not sure what is required for a stage,
since some required specific character, feel free to use auto assign ->

In order to slightly raise your teams CP you can use the fork and knife icon to eat a meal and boost
your CP for one battle ->

Card System

Once a fight starts, you get a starting hand of 7 Skill cards. Those are random and you can get a total
difference of 6 cards. (ignoring Ultimate’s that get added later).

Once per turn, you can use up to three moves (If only 2 characters remaining 2 moves, and 1
character left 1 move).

You have the following possibilities from here on:

- Tap a card to add it to queue
- Move a card (by dragging)

If a card in your hand is used, the cards to the left of it moves to the right. If two of the same cards
and same tier are next to each other, they merge together and become stronger. This can also be
done by moving a card in your hand next to its duplicate.

Using a card gives that character a gauge orb. Bronze tier grants you one orb, Silver tier two and Gold
tier three. A total of 5 is required to unlock and gain an Ultimate skill card.

After you are done with your turn, draw phase starts. First off, System checks for Ultimate gauge. If
it’s full for a character, their Ultimate Skill Card is added. If not, the second draw phase initiates and
System draws (and merges) cards until you hold 7 cards in your hand again.

Note: After an Ultimate Skill Card is added, the ultimate gauge isn’t reset yet. The orbs are only used
up once the turn ends. Thus, using an Ultimate Skill (to reset the gauge) and using a Skill card
afterwards (to add gauge orbs) doesn’t work. Gauge orbs are added during your selection phase and
not after attacks. Just a small strategy reminder.

Note 2: Some characters have additional effects on second tier / silver cards like Story King. While his
bronze second Skill “8th formation Flower” only removes debuffs, silver will also heal. So, make sure
to read all stages of your characters skills.

Quests

SDSGC has a lot of quest types which are all described above. Credits to boom-app wiki.

I recommend beginners to focus on Main Story Quests only and at least do the Gem Daily Quests.
Due to the friendly system, you can simply click on each quest on the side and confirm, which usually
leads you to the required farming stage or NPC.

If you are still unsure, required stage usually has an indicator on bottom as seen on “hard” difficulty
of example below.

Tetora & /u/antonlabz 8

Villages & Affinity

Each chapter has its own map with its specific drops and gear sets. Some NPC in town, areas but also
stages are locked and bound to your affinity level, shown as hearts of a town. In order to unlock
normal difficulty stages, a town affinity level of 4 is required and for hard, level 5 is required.

In order to raise affinity level, you are required to do the blue and red side quests. They are all in the
city and usually have a blue or red “!” above their heads. Simply click those, to auto walk to certain
NPC.

Advice if item location unknown and save time

If you see an item listed somewhere and don’t know its drop location, simply click on it and press
yellow button, to check current drop and sale locations.

SP Dungeons & Events

In this overview display, you reach Events, SP Dungeons, Boss Stages, Red Demon Raid (if open) and
PvP.

Event

Events are limited time stages or offers.

First Tab: Information – In there you usually find current banner and costume sale information.
Second Tab: Stages – Event Stages are listed there and can be easily accessed
Third Tab: Missions – Those aren’t stages itself, but quests that have to be done first and can be
claimed afterward.

SP Dungeon

SP Dungeons drop Evolution Materials that are being used for Limit Breaks, Chests that can be sold
for gold and EXP Potions. They are split into three parts. If closed, they can also be opened with some
special items which can be obtained in the coin shop.

Tetora & /u/antonlabz 10

First one has a limited amount of runs of 3 times per day. In there you can choose which category
you want to farm. EXP Potions, Gold Chests or Evolution (of no specific color) Materials. Each run
grants exp to the yellow bar you see above. Once it’s filled, you get shown item.

Middle section has daily rotating SP Dungeons. Left side is always EXP Potions and right-side Books of
a specific color.

The schedule is as follow:

Green: Monday & Thursday
Red: Tuesday & Friday
Blue: Wednesday & Saturday
All Open: Sunday

Finally, we have gold runs which have a certain time window when they are open. Those are limited
to five per time frame.

Boss Stages

Boss Stages drop Orbs and Awakening materials like Blood of the Demon God, Water of Life and
some other materials. Another point of boss stage is also, that they fill the raid gauge and have a
chance to spawn the Red Demon Raid.

Tetora & /u/antonlabz 11

Raid

At start of chapter 4, raids are unlocked. Once a raid is summoned by clearing Boss stages, you have
60 minutes to kill it.

Raids currently offer three difficulties and are being done with another player. At time of writing, the
red demon raid drops materials that are used to LB to Lv.65.

PvP

PvP happens in real-time. You have a timer per turn and fight against other players. Battle System is
normal in here and nothing changes.

Players can earn gems and gear chests on a weekly basis, but also exclusive skins can be bought in
exchange for PvP coins.

Daily Freebies and Discounts

SDSGC is relative generous and offers a handful of free and discounted stuff. So, make sure to do and
grab those:

• Login Rewards
• Gear Gachapon free single pull
• Free SR Chest in SR Coin Shop
• Discounted single pull on general Gachapon for 1 instead of 3 gems

Not exactly freebies but I also recommend you do some random 5 Free Stages for the daily quest to
get one gem and maybe the “Mission” in Event tabs, since they currently grant another two easy
earned gems.

Tetora & /u/antonlabz 12

Boar Hat
SDSGC has a lobby system which is the Boar Hat Restaurant or in short, your bar. In there are several
NPCs and functions. Some NPC might not be there from the beginning and must be unlocked as you
progress in story.

Ban – Cooking

On the left side you will see Ban behind the bar. He offers you the option to cook meals, which are
required to level up affection with a character and power up your team during fights. In order to start
cooking, press on the fork & knife icon.

Elizabeth – Login

Elizabeth stays right next to Ban and usually gives you your login dailies in form of heart shaped
praline boxes. If you want to check out your daily login rewards plan, simply click on that party cone
icon.

Diane – Salvaging

Diane is outside behind the window and she gives you the option, to salvage your gears. Click on the
“broken sword” icon and it’ll lead you to the salvage option. After selecting a few equipment’s, you
want to get rid of, confirm and you’ll get some strengthening stones and sometimes awakening
stones in exchange. Those are required to level up your gear.

King – Merge and Breakdown

King is right next to Diane and offers you the option to merge items into the next tier and vice versa.
To reach the menu, simply click on his diamond icon. A menu will open, and it’ll give you the
following categories:

• Books of all colors

• Awakening Stones
• Exp Potions
• Blood of the Demon God
• Water of Life

Once you have selected a category, a new window will open with all item tiers and your owned
amount. Select one and then you will have three options:

• Ascend to next tier (example: use 6x 2* Blue Books to gain 1x 3* Blue Book)
• Descend by one tier (example: use 1x 3* Blue Book to gain 2x 2* Blue Books)
• Exchange (example: change 2x 2* Blue Books to gain 1x 2* Book of another color)

Coin Shop
Coin Shops have 4 different categories and thus also currencies. Those coins are obtained by getting /
pulling dupes. An exception is the fourth tab and currency. The coin with two hands are friendship
coins and are obtained by using friendly units or simply sent and obtained by friends.
You will always see two sections of a shop. The top part which has two items followed by an arrow ->
with another two items, are time limited items and they rotate every few days or weekly for the SSR
Coin Shop. The left part indicates the current rotation and right part which items follow up after
countdown runs up.
The bottom part contains items which are permanently there and won’t rotate.

Here are my recommendations for coin usage:

SSR Coin: SSR Coin Shop Exclusive Units (Ban, Gowther, Meliodas)
SR Coin: SSR Units you really want, else dupes to gather more coins to buy exclusives
R Coin: AP Potion
Friendship Coin: Either AP Potions or SP Dungeon Key/Ball
