IX. RATIONALE

Tree planting is a learning opportunity to get people involved in the environment and
conservation of our natural resources. This project also supports larger community effort
to help grow Bago Gallera's tree canopy or areas in which trees develop.

Therefore, it is essential to help connect students to the benefits of trees and

encourage environmental stewardship.

As concerned SPCians, the Young Einsteins’ Society would voluntarily engage in

planting trees. Through this activity, students can cultivate environmental stewardship
and concern to our nature. As we know trees help improve air quality by absorbing some
airborne compounds that could be harmful to us, and also by giving off oxygen.

With the aforementioned statements, we are motivated to conduct a three-hour The

Young Einstein’ Society's Tree Planting Program with the theme: “Magtanim ng Puno,
Pagandahin ang mundo” By doing this activity, we will be able to impart knowledge to
the community and provide opportunities for environmental education, getting young
children thinking about environmental conservation early.
