Objectives and Assessment

Objective(s)  Determine the different farm resources to be estimated
 Perform estimation; and
 Define basic workplace calculations.

Assessment  Written Test

 Performance Test
 Homework

Preparation
Materials /  Graphing Paper, Manila Paper, Marker, and Ruler
Resources  Calculators
(Reason for using it: To help students survive in any type of job
activity for the future / easy to carry / to visualize the result
quickly)
 Chalk, Board, and Visual Aids

Students' Students will provide their own calculators, graphing paper, ruler
Preparation and markers.
Note: Provide several extra materials for students who forget to
bring those materials or students who cannot afford them.
Teacher Need some training on technology use and can actively
Preparation demonstrate it to the class
Activities

Learners'  Will be grouped the class into 4 groups, and need to

Activities construct or to draw a farm, having those common shapes such as:
triangle, circle, rectangle, square, rhombus, parallelogram, and
trapezium. Students also can draw the supplies of the farm that
they want to have. After they have drawn the farm, they’ll show it
to the class and post it on the board.
 Student should measure the length, height and width of all
the shapes of the farm that they had drawn. They also need to
provide to measure the volume and percentages of the supplies of
the farm that they’ve made and put it into the graph.

Teacher  Scaffold students' activities by preparing an example into the

Activities board to guide students' activities.
 Give instructions on what to put in the farm that the
students need to draw.
 Help students who have questions.
 Ask questions to check students' status.
o How can you put common shapes in your farm?
o Do you know how to find the surface area of the
triangle, square, rectangle, circle, rhombus, parallelogram and
trapezium?
o Do you know what formula to be used to get those
surfaces area?
o Do you know what the units of measurements are?
o Do you know how to find the volume of the shape?
o Do you know how to get the percentage?
o Do you know how to make a graph?
