“Safety Sequence”
1. Provide each child with the materials listed.
2. Read aloud each story event and discuss its picture.
3. Direct each student to number the story events in
the order in which they happen. Have her write each
event’s number in the small box provided.
4. Have the child cut out the story events and stack
them in numerical order.
5. Have each student staple her pages together and
then take the booklet home and use it to retell the
story for her family and friends.
