Dear friends,
Every year, Indoanesthesia makes the habit of ge�ng together a group of leading experts in the field of
anesthesia as part of our commitment in keeping the enthusiasm of our growing number of par�cipants
alive. As Indoanesthesia con�nues to receive unfailing support from its loyal speakers and par�cipants,
and we are proud to say that we are expanding even further. The year 2017 will be a par�cularly exci�ng
year for us, WE WILL BE THE HOST OF The 1st World Congress on Anesthesia for Obstetrics (WCAO) in
conjunc�on with The 14th Interna�onal Annual Mee�ng of Indonesian Society of Obstetric Anesthesia,
14th Indonesian Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and The 6th Interna�onal Annual
Mee�ng of Indonesian Society Cri�cal Care Anesthesiologists. The event will take place in Bali, on
February 23rd - 25th 2017.
Indoanesthesia’s aim is to promote the best prac�ce of Regional Anesthesia, Pediatric Anesthesia,
Neuroanesthesia, Cri�cal Care Anesthesia and WCAO to share knowledge, experience and develop-
ments amongst the growing body of specialized obstetric anesthesiologists. Dis�nguished speakers and
experts from prominent anesthesia socie�es around the world will gather and share their updated
knowledge on the field of Obstetric Anesthesia as well as Maternal and Neonatal Cri�cal Care to the
interna�onal audience. Supported by the likes of Society for Obstetric Anesthesia, Obstetric Anesthe�st
Associa�on, Obstetric Anesthesia Society Asia Oceania, African Obstetric Anesthesiologist, La�n
America Obstetric Anesthesiologists, Club d'Anesthésie Réanima�on en Obstétrique, The European
Society of Anesthesiology and the World Federa�on of Socie�es of Anesthesiologists, par�cipa�ng in
this event will allow your ins�tu�on to engage at the frontline idea-sharing of Obstetric Anesthesia. Your

1. to enhance better understanding that management of emergencies in the labor and delivery floor requires
concerted effort of a teamwork
2. to emphasize effective communication skills form the cornerstone of managing obstetric emergencies
effectively
3. to promote transfer of knowledge through team training and discussions

GENERAL GUIDELINES
1. The format of your eposter must be PPT or PDF, landscape, 16:9. Your file must be compatible
with a PC
2. You can only produce one slide for your eposter
3. You may use the official WCAO 2017 eposter template as a reference (non-mandatory) for
download HERE
4. Don’t overload your poster. Remember, you are not writing an article
5. Seek simplicity, keep text to a minimum and avoid redundancies
6. Use 500 to 1’000 words (including title, figure legends and tables), definitely not more
7. Graphics such as figures and tables can effectively convey more information than text, and
should cover approximately 50% of the poster area
8. The average reader spends 1-2 minutes on your poster.
9. Clearly state your AIM or HYPOTHESIS for this study/poster at the end of the introduction
10. Highlight your main findings that are directly relevant to the AIM or HYPOTHESIS
11. Your conclusions should directly address or answer your AIM or HYPOTHESIS
12. We suggest that the pathway (eye movement) is down the columns. Use 3-4 columns
13. Use a constant font throughout the poster
14. Let your important points stand out. Use (but don’t overuse) bold and colours
15. If possible, avoid abbreviations and acronyms, especially in the Conclusions
16. Feel free to provide one or more key references (in the right lower corner)
17. Handouts of your abstract / poster (with your addresses) to your interested readers may facilitate
future research communication
18. Prepare a short oral presentation of your poster to be presented during the official eposter
discussion. Each presentation should not exceed 7 minutes (3 mins presentation + 4 mins Q&A)
19. You are requested to upload your eposter before Friday 5 December 2016 via the online plat-

E-POSTER PARTICIPANT
1. This competition is open to all students (Graduates, Post Graduates and Research Scholars not
above the age of 35).
2. Presenters who do not wish to participate or those who are not eligible for the competition
are also welcome to present their poster at the conference.
3. The abstract submission deadline for poster competition will be closed one month before the
conference date (this is subject to change), hence all are requested to submit their abstracts
well in advance.
4. The abstract should include complete details of the contestant (e.g., abstract title, name,
affiliation, abstract and biography etc).
5. Abstracts have to be submitted through online or by email. Shortlisted abstracts for the com-
petition will be intimated through email and those will be displayed on the website as well.
6. If the registered author/poster presenter is unable to attend the conference he/she may send a
substitute who can be a co-author (or) any member from the same institution. If the winner is
a substitute, he/she will be awarded and not the registered author/contestant.
7. Opportunity for young researchers to learn about the research areas of their peers to increase
their capacity as multidisciplinary researchers.
8. All shortlisted poster presenters have to be registered before the deadline of abstract submis-
sion.
