Level Sensors for Brewery Production Plant

Level sensors are used for detecting the level of liquid and other fluids as
well as fluidized solids like slurries, granular materials, and powders that
are on the upper surface.

SLA Series- Admittance Level Limit Switch gives an accurate
measurement of change in admittance in the level of material in the
tank. This instrument is used in the beer production plant as it
facilitates the process of malting. It has coating immunity which
prevents barley from sticking to the instrument probe. In SLA Series
Calibration is possible for remote locations.
Even for the large storage tanks, SLA Series is useful which is

● SLM: Vibrating Fork Level Sensor


It is a tuning fork that is used in the process of malting for
maintenance-free solutions. The tuning fork is calibration-free.
Its application temperature range is up to 250 degrees Celsius.

● ELIXIR- Vibrating Fork Level Sensor/Switch for Liquids


During the process of malting hot water is used to immerse barley.
This hot water needs to be stored in tanks as it is required when the
beer is processed. To facilitate the calibration-free solution ELIXIR
can be used. It is also used in the process of mashing. The bi-product
of mashing is stored in mash tun wherein to ensure longer running life
ELIXIR is used.
In the process of lautering during the production of beer, ELIXIR is
useful as it remains unaffected by the fluid movements.
After the process of lautering, a clear liquid “wort” is obtained. This
liquid is boiled in a large tank with hops, this tank is known as wort
cooker. Here ELIXIR can be used as it has a fork erosion alarm.
At the end of the process of beer production, the beer is cleaned and
made brighter, for this ELIXIR is again useful as it is compatible and
easy to install.

● SLC Series-Level Sensor/Switch for Bulky Solids


When the process of malting takes place, the hot water is stored in
large tanks and therefore an instrument is needed which can resist
high temperatures. SLC series level sensor has high-temperature
durability and therefore is suitable here.
In the aging tanks which are also known as the secondary
fermentation tanks, the beer is stored for a long time before getting its
packaging. SLC is suited here as it ignores the material build-up.

● Elixir-T-Uni: Vibrating Fork Type Level Sensor for Liquids in


Hygienic Applications
In the process of mashing when the material is made it is stored in
large tanks known as mash tuns, for the fork type level sensors
Elixir-T-Uni is used as it has smoother forks.
Even during the process of lautering Elixir-T-Uni is used for hygienic
purposes. In the process of lautering, a liquid “wort” is produced
which is boiled in wort cooker, to build up the immunity Elixir-T-Uni is
used.

Solids and Liquids
After the wort is cooled and yeast is added the material becomes
ready to ferment. It becomes sticky and viscous. Coat-Endure is
