LATE / INCOMPLETE WORK ABSENTEE POLICY

**Students may stay after school on Monday and
Wednesday evenings for tutoring and make-up work.
Students are able to redo all graded assignments in
order to get a better grade. Work that is redone at
home must also include an explanation of the mistake
they made the first time and work showing what they
did differently on the make up work.

HOMEWORK
The ability to use basic math skills for computation is essential in making academic gains. Homework will be
distributed throughout the week and occasionally on Fridays to promote positive reinforcement on class topics.
Completed homework assignments will count as formative assessment grades. HOMEWORK IS NOT OPTIONAL!

TECHNOLOGY
Students WILL NOT be allowed to bring personal devices to class. All students
must leave all cell phones, tablets, and personal electronic devices in their lockers.
Devices that are discovered in class will be confiscated and turned in to the front
office for parent pick up. Our classroom has a class set of tablets for each student.
Since students from various class periods will be using the same tablets, I
recommend that you bring your own ear buds and/or stylus’ for personal use.

GRADING PROCEDURES UNIT PROJECTS

Students will be given a variety of assessments. These will
include but are not limited to: Group and individual projects, tests,
quizzes, class work activities, and homework.
Each student will be assigned a project to be
turned in for each unit. Each project will be
designed to enhance current instruction and/or
introduce future skills needed to master higher
levels of math. More detailed information will be
provided.

expectations.
