HOMEWORK
The ability to use basic math skills for computation is essential in making academic gains. Homework will be
distributed throughout the week and occasionally on Fridays to promote positive reinforcement on class topics.
Completed homework assignments will count as formative assessment grades. HOMEWORK IS NOT OPTIONAL!

TECHNOLOGY
Students WILL NOT be allowed to bring personal devices to class. All students
must leave all cell phones, tablets, and personal electronic devices in their lockers.
Devices that are discovered in class will be confiscated and turned in to the front
office for parent pick up. Our classroom has a class set of tablets for each student.
Since students from various class periods will be using the same tablets, I
recommend that you bring your own ear buds and/or stylus’ for personal use.

I, ________________________________________, have read and understand the rules and expectations for Mrs. Sheffield’s
Math Class. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to contact my teacher if I have any questions or concerns. I know that this
syllabus, assignments, calendars, and resources are available to me on Canvas, Infinite Campus, and the Class Webpage. I know
that assignments can be submitted digitally at any time and that printer/computer/flash drive issues are not an excuse for late work.
I understand that there will be a quiz over the information on this syllabus to ensure I read and understand the rules and
expectations.
