Subject :WORLD RELIGION AND BELIEF SYSTEM


Grade & Class :GRADE 12- AMOS/ HUMSS
Date &Time :NOVEMBER 28, 2018 /WEDNESDAY/ 1:00- 2:00 PM
I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson the Grade 12 students are expected to:

 Identify the positive and negative effects of religion


 Perform a short presentation in the form of a “Talk Show” .
 Participate actively during the performance of the short Talk Show.
 Appreciate the positive effects of religion to one’s life

II. Subject Matter


Lesson : Positive and Negative Effects of Religion

Motivation : Picture Analysis

 The teacher will present a series of pictures to the students,


they will analyze what the pictures entails to say or what the
picture is all about. The pictures are related to the positive
and negative effects of religion.
A. Activity

 The class will be divided into two groups. Group 1 will be given the
Positive Effects of Religion. Group 2 to will be given the Negative
Effects of Religion.
 A reader will be given to each group for them to be use
 Each group will be given 10-15 minutes to plan and work out there
presentation.
 Each member of the group should be utilize
 The allotted time for the presentation is 5- 10 minutes only
 A rubric will be use to grade the performance

B. Analysis:

The teacher will process the group activity performed by the


students and will relate it to the discussion about the Positive and
Negative Effects of Religion.
Teacher will ask:

 What did the Group 1 presented? What positive effects of


religion did they presented?
 What did the Group 2 presented? What negative effects of
religion did they presented?
C. Abstraction:
 The teacher will present a short powerpoint presentation about the
positive and negative effects of religion.

The teacher will ask the following:


 What are the positive effects of religion?
 What are the negative effects of religion?
 Relate religion to your life, what are the positive effects of religion to
you?
 In the community, what are the positive effects of religion?

D. APPLICATION:

 In a bondpaper, make a basic venn diagram about the Positive and


Negative Effects of Diagram

IV. EVALUATION:
 The teacher will conduct an individual oral recitation in which the
student will identify one positive effect and one negative effects
( can be their own) and explain the it’s effects to oneself and to the
community
Note: (A rubric will be the basis for grading)

V. ASSIGNMENT:
 Make a poster showing the impact of the positive effects of religion
to oneself and to the society.
 Use a long size bondpaper, landscape. Make sure that it will look
like a true artwork.
 A rubric for poster making will be given as basis.
