DETAILED CAREER EXPERIENCE:
Major Responsibilities:
Client: Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria contracted Subsea 7 for subsea installations on the Erha
North field development offshore Nigeria. Water depths are between 1,000 m and 1,200 m (3,281 ft and
3,937 ft).
Location: Subsea 7 Seven Borealis & Seven Pacific offshore installation vessels
Seven Borealis' J-lay system, previously on the Acergy Polaris, has a 750-ton static and 937-ton dynamic
tension capacity, and is mainly for use in deeper water projects (up to 3,000 m). Also onboard are two
work class, 3,000-m water depth-rated Schilling ROVS that can be deployed using 1,500-m (4,921-ft)
tethers, facilitating touch-down monitoring of the pipeline during laying.
Ensure full requirement of the HSE policies and procedures are fully implemented on the offshore
filed development project
Provide specialist support and guidance to Subsea 7 / WAV ventures and to various sections on
all aspect of HSE.
Ensure all safety rules, regulation and procedures are fully implemented and adhered to by all
personnel (company / subcontractor
Ensured that all prescribed safety measures are applied to maintenance, repair work and
authorized the PTW accordingly
Assist the operating unit to carry out the risk assessment as per the procedure to identify potential

TASKS:
Daily reporting to the Offshore Safety & Environment Coordinator on all safety related activities onboard
the installation.
• Daily coordination- and monitoring of safe working practices for ongoing activities onboard the
installation.
• Performs daily QHSE work offshore, and provides guidance and coordination in areas of HSE training,
administration, procedures implementation, audits and inspections, contractor QHSE programs, and other
QHSE activities including project, maintenance, contractor, general services-related work pertaining to
environmental and safety issues
• Encouraging and promoting safety awareness throughout the company’s operations both on and
offshore, including operations at remote locations.
• Provide leadership, advice and guidance on health, medical, safety, security, and quality issues with a
focus on sustain ably minimizing operational risk and achieving best practice.
• Provide inductions / orientations to new comers (Employees) and visitors on platform.
• Liaise with HSE representative of Client to organize the required numbers of inspections / audits as per
Contractor’s HSE Plan.
• Provide HS&E support and advice to offshore and onshore personnel.
• Conduct weekly fire, abandon, man over board and oil spill response drills.
• Subsequent control of PTW on platform to ensure that safety procedures are followed;
• Suspend or stop jobs for non-compliance with the PTW.

HS&E excellence for the company’s offshore operations.
• Draw up the detailed procedures for operation and testing of safety equipment for the future offshore
operations.
• During production, verify, check and ensure that all safety equipment installed on the platform are in line
with the Company requirements, and operational.
• Check that all works performed during the production phase are prepared and executed in line with the
Company rules and the procedures enforced, and to liaise with production and commissioning team.

monitoring loss prevention, health and hygiene control, accident and incident investigations ,

Position: Offshore HSE Supervisor – March 27, 2014 to April 2nd 2015
To provide safety advice to the Platforms Contract Manager for all activities related to the platforms construction
works.
To monitor the project construction activities carried out by the EPC Contractor & subcontractors to ensure
compliance with the project and site safety procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
Support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of
effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives
are met.
Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health,
safety and environmental issues.
Support the HSE Manager in ensuring HSE compliance onshore and offshore and perform
regular HSE audits in the areas of business and vessel operations.
Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters.
Provide support to the dept on the implementation of Company-wide HSE initiatives eg. ISO
14001, OHSAS 18001, etc
Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well
as client requirements.

offshore training and HSE program, i.e. emergency response systems, etc.
Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and
prepare/submit lessons learned to the Regional HSE Manager for promulgation to the

Manage Safety Statistic reporting within Nigeria. Track and provide regular HSE
performance reporting to the Dept head.
Provide HSE aspects of Company Bid Submissions as requested
Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.
Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees.
Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
Support offshore HSE personnel in the development of work site HSE campaigns and good

Major Responsibilities:
Assist and advise the various Construction Supervisors in the safe operation of all construction
activities so as to remove the risk of accidents, incidents, and near misses on CLIENT
construction and production sites.
Ensure compliance with Client Safety Policies and Procedures as well as the Local Legislation
with regard to "Labor Protection" Regulations related to Construction and Fire Safety.
Carry out scheduled audits of the Managing Contractor's HSE policies, procedures, and
performance.
Participate with the Managing Contractor on scheduled HSE audits of the construction
contractors.
Reviews the Contractors maintenance, training and inspection programs
Interface with CLIENT HSE personnel in the field on a regular basis; to review and discuss
performance, co-ordinate activities etc.
Interface with the construction team members responsible for the permitting, QA/QC, and
construction on a daily basis to ensure that the construction contractors' are performing to the
HSE requirements; Planning ahead with these individuals to anticipate and avoid problems.
Work with the Management Contractor on programs to improve the construction contractors'
practices with respect to HSE.
Oversee and support of all construction contractor programs related to HSE training of personnel,
safety induction, toolbox meetings, and safety programs
Assists in risk assessments and preparation of method statements for construction activities.
Assist in the investigation of all accidents, incidents, and near misses; maintains a log of these
investigations, ensures reports are issued internally.
Plan and execute field drills in conjunction with CLIENT HSE and Managing Contractor to ensure
that all construction personnel are familiar with the emergency procedures.
