China

 China has been known as the “Celestial Empire.” This refers not only to Chna’s strength
and position at East Asia’s Middle Kingdom, it also captures a more profound meaning,
describing a land where the divine and mortal once coexisted. It refers to the believed
that the divine, through various dynasties.
 The name ‘china’ comes from the Sanskrit Cina (‘chin’) which was translated as ‘Cin’ by
the Persians and seems to have become popularized through trade along the Silk Road
from China to the rest of the world.
 Romans and the Greeks knew the country as ‘Seres’ the land where silk comes from “The
land where silk comes from”. The name ‘China’ dose not appear in print in the west. The
Europeans had long known.
 China is the most populous country with approximately 1.42 billion people in 2018.
