around money and learn about what each coin is worth, and how much things are worth.

Activity In this activity the students will be talking about how much each
coin is worth and what the name of the coin is called as well. As we
proceed with the activity the students will have to move the correct
coin to box with the right amount. For example, if the box says 25
cents they will move the quarter to that box. The next part of the
activity will have dollar bills and coins in a piggy bank, the student
will have to count how much is inside of the piggy bank and tell the
teacher how much is in there. There will also be toys surrounding
the piggy bank with prices on them. The students will tell the
teacher if they have enough money or not enough money for these
toys, and whichever one they have enough money for they will
circle that toy. The last part of this activity is word problems. The
teacher will read the word problem and call on a student to pop the
balloon with the right amount. The word problems are asking if
someone gave you $2.00 and a friend gave you an extra $1.00 how
much money do you have in all?
This smartboard activity is to help the students understand what the
value of money is, and also help explain what you can buy with a
certain amount of money. In this activity the students will be able to
add money all together and put the decimal in the right place.
This activity will not only help the students with learning money, but
