Length:

 Length can be defined as the distance between two points. It is the longest dimension of an
object. Diagram of a pencil can be given with marking its length.

Width
 The width of something is the distance it measures from one side or edge to the other.

Area:
 Area is the quantity that expresses the extent of a two-dimensional figure or shape, or planar
lamina, in the plane. Surface area is its analog on the two-dimensional surface of a three-
dimensional object.

Volume:
 Volume is the quantity of three-dimensional space enclosed by a closed surface, for example,
the space that a substance (solid, liquid, gas, or plasma) or shape occupies or contains.

Mass:
 Mass is both a property of a physical body and a measure of its resistance to acceleration (a
change in its state of motion) when a net force is applied.

Weight:
 Weight (symbolized w ) is a quantity representing the force exerted on a particle or object by
an acceleration field, particularly the gravitational field of the Earth at the surface.

Temperature:
 A measure of hotness and coldness in degrees. Temperature is measured with a
thermometer which coverts the readings into degrees on a temperature scale (commonly
Fahrenheit or Celsius).

Time:
 A dimension in which events can be ordered from the past through the present into the
future, and also the measure of durations of events and the intervals between them.

Factor Dimensional Analysis:

 Dimensional Analysis (also called Factor-Label Method or the Unit Factor Method) is a
problem-solving method that uses the fact that any number or expression can be multiplied
by one without changing its value.
