Trend 1: Chatbots

A chatbot is an artificial intelligence (AI) software that can simulate a conversation (or a
chat) with a user in natural language through messaging applications, websites, mobile apps or
through the telephone.
Why are chatbots important? A chatbot is often described as one of the most advanced
and promising expressions of interaction between humans and machines. However, from a
technological point of view, a chatbot only represents the natural evolution of a Question
Answering system leveraging Natural Language Processing (NLP). Formulating responses to
questions in natural language is one of the most typical Examples of Natural Language
Processing applied in various enterprises’ end-use applications.

Trend 2: E-learning

eLearning is learning utilizing electronic technologies to access educational curriculum

outside of a traditional classroom. In most cases, it refers to a course, program or degree
delivered completely online. eLearning can be taken up by a large number of people through the
internet. It also helps you to access the updated information whenever you need it.

Trend 3: RFID

Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) is the use of radio waves to read and

capture information stored on a tag attached to an object. A tag can be read from up
to several feet away and does not need to be within direct line-of-sight of the reader to
be tracked. RFID tags contain an integrated circuit and an antenna, which is used to
transmit data to the RFID reader (also called an interrogator). The reader then converts
the radio waves to a more usable form of data. Information collected from the tags is
then transferred through a communications interface to a host computer system, where
the data can be stored in a database and analyzed at a later time.

Trend 4: Implantable

ICDs have been very useful in preventing sudden death in patients with known, sustained
ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation. Studies have shown that they may have a role in
preventing cardiac arrest in high-risk patients who haven't had, but are at risk for, life-threatening
ventricular arrhythmias. Newer-generation ICDs may have a dual function which includes the
ability to serve as a pacemaker. The pacemaker feature would stimulate the heart to beat if the
heart rate is detected to be too slow.
