Pedagogy Planning

Activity In class, we will discuss the importance of
environmental health. The students will use the
Canva mobile application to create a flyer about the
importance of emotional health. The students can
copy and paste images from Google to put within
their flyer. Students are able to edit the text within
the flyer, promoting information on environmental
health. Inappropriate images will NOT be tolerated.
Once the students have finished their flyer, they will
raise their hand and the teacher will come around
and check for completion. The students’ designs will
automatically safe to the folder labeled “Your
designs.”
Pedagogy
In class, we will discuss environmental health. The
students will be able to understand the importance
of keeping the environment clean, effects of
environmental health, and ways to prevent daily
environmental clean-ups. Near the end of the class,
the students will create a (school use ONLY) twitter
account on their mobile device; using their own
email and password. The teacher will add them as
friends, ensuring that each account is public and can
be seen by anyone. The teacher will provide the
students with 5 objects that most effect our
environment (cigarette butts, plastic bottles, straws,
plastic grocery bags, & food wrappers). Before the
start of the next class period, the students must @
the teacher (ex: @MrPatrickPE) and provide a post
that ranks the objects from 1-5 (1 being the MOST
harmful to the environment to 5 being the LEAST

harmful to the environment). Also, the student must

provide below the rankings a post discussing 3 ways
to keep the environment clean.
