With the realization of my newly found passion i.e. chemical engineering. I must have to choose

a good school with endless possibilities and resources. It is one the Ivy League universities in

USA. It is one of the oldest colleges in New York. In survey of time magazine 2017, this

university was ranked second. To get enrolled as a student of this prestigious university is an

honour. The university is famous for its two key benefits; one is commitment towards teaching

activities and secondly the advanced research facilities.

I want to seek practical experience and to endeavour my knowledge that’s why I use Columbia

University. There are many valued things about this campus, the most appealing is the

distinguished learning environment for undergraduates. The teaching faculty meticulously put

their efforts to teach students along with incredible opportunities for education. There is another

core advantage in which students get engaged with alumni before graduation, so they can get a

glimpse of their career life. The core curriculum is modified for engineering faculty. It is the

basic foundation to get promoted in the senior year. After completing the core curriculum

courses, the students can opt for courses. The university is providing best learning environment

and resources to their students. I personally feel that the most valued part is that this university

has spirited way to encourage NYC festivities being in the cultural proximity centre of the world.

When I was a child I never thought about growing up being an engineer or something. No

one predicted my destiny. Even in my high school, I never had interest in engineering field.

My uncle who earned his PhD from MIT University, he has a successful career in his field.

While I was young, I enjoyed doing conversation with him about various engineering

problems. He provided me with the answer in the most generous way. He provoked my

interest in this field. After high school I opted for chemical engineering. I checked various

other programs to pursue my degree. I eventually ended up in Worcester Polytechnic

institute. But it becomes unaffordable for me now. My uncle encouraged me in the decision. I

became excited when I learned that he is working with famous chemical company. He knew

about my capabilities and advised me to apply for transfer in Colombia University. In my

opinion, the intellectual environment of this university suits me better and learning

environment is competitive. I want to follow the footstep of my uncle in the field of

engineering.
