Pedagogy Planning
Activity 1. The students will be advised to download
the app “BookWidgets” and will be given
the specific code for the classroom.
2. The students will download the app and
enter in the specific code for the classroom
so the Educator can see all work done by
the students.
3. The students will be assigned a short
writing activity that will consist of them
writing a short story on the topic of their
choosing.
4. They will be required to write complete
sentences, with adjectives, correct
capitalization.
5. After students have finished educator will
send each student an email discussing
things that should be changed and or
edited on their story.
6. Once all students have completed their
revisions, over the course of that nine

weeks, one story will be read a day until
every students story has been read to the
class.
My students are using the Padlet mobile
application on their individual cell phones or
tablets to collaborate with their peers and to
(create, discuss, review, comment on short stories).
1. The students will download the app and be
put into a group with their classmates and
teacher.
2. They will be assigned to create a story
about a topic that includes a topic
sentence, main idea, supporting details,
and so on.
3. Throughout their story writing process each
student will be assigned a “buddy” that
they must peer review for one another
within the app. They will be required to
leave comments about suggestions, and
any grammatical errors that they may
catch.
4. They writer must reply to the comments
and make appropriate changes to their
story.
5. The educator will monitor the progress and
ensure assignment requirements are met,
including the student collaboration.
6. The students will be able to ask any
questions during class time or by contact
the educator through the app.

monitor the students and can email back
and forth with the students about any
questions since the activity will take place
outside of school as homework.
