1. The Project
The USE group, one of eastern India’s largest real estate and infrastructure companies wishes to establish a
state-of-the-art Hospital (‘the Project’) as a part of its 370 acre integrated township called Kolkata West
International City (KWIC), in Howrah (see Plan). The Project should have general and specialized facilities /
clinics. Land measuring approximately 5 acres has been earmarked for the project. An FAR of up to 4 will be
available. The hospital will cater to the needs of the KWIC Township and the underserviced Howrah region.
2. Land
KWIC will make available land and rights to develop the land that is made available. KWIC will also facilitate
providing access, power, water, utilities and the approval of building plans.
The minimum services to be extended by the hospital should include the following:
• State-of-the-art diagnostic centre including pathology laboratories, radiology (X-ray, CAT, MRI, etc.), ECG.
• Outpatient facilities for all specialties
• Emergency facilities
• Dental and orthodental facilities
• At least 100 beds, including ICU and wards
• Operating theatres
• Pre-natal and post-natal care
• All related support services including kitchens, laundry and stores
• All Facilities (Pharmacy, ATMs, cafeteria, etc) for patients and visitors
• Should be operated at first class levels. staffed with qualified and experienced medical professionals
Project Location
• The project can be easily accessed from National
Highway No.6, Howrah Amta road and Banaras
road.
• Driving Distance:
20 min from Kolkata Airport,
25 min from CBD (Park street, Dalhousie)
• Future metro rail extension to Howrah Maidan
station is approximately 4 km from the site.
• The site is well connected to Kolkata and Howrah
with excellent road network. The best and fastest
way to reach Kolkata from the site is via the 2nd
Hooghly Bridge or Vidyasagar Setu through Kona
expressway.
