1. Introduction
The questions of our customers prove the need of our users. Based on these questions,
Greenock developed some macros to simplify the usage of Vault. They provide added
value by automating manual tasks.

This ‘out of the box’ solution arose from years of experience with clients in various
sectors. This way, you increase your productivity and minimize the error rate in your
drawing room.

A brief overview of the possibilities with the Vault PlusPack App:

• Automatic creation of 'default' directories

• Submit job (submit job processor default and custom jobs)
• TeamViewer (Helpdesk screen takeover)
• Helpdesk registration form
• Show Internal ID’s (ID’s and persistent ID’s)
• View in Thin Client (open document link in Vault web client)
• XML Export Vault metadata to the workspace
• XML Export Vault/Inventor BOM data to the workspace
• Find items and queue to the job processor
• Deployment tools
• Open related Inventor drawing

2. Installation

The installation can be performed with the supplied installation file.

Vault Plus Pack 2019.x.msi

Vault PlusPack App is available for:

• Autodesk Vault Workgroup
• Autodesk Vault Professional
Note: Vault PlusPack App is NOT available for Autodesk Vault Basic.
3. License, registration and activation
3.1 License types
There are two different types available in function of the type of the +Plus Pack:
• Standalone
o Registration per computer (limited to one computer)
• Site license
o Registration for all computers within the same AD (active directory) domain

Contact our helpdesk for more information: helpdesk@greenock.eu.

3.2 Registration and activation

Via the ‘About’-button in the +Plus Pack ribbon/toolbar:
• also for extensions or modifications
• in the Vault PlusPack App this window is automatically opened once a +Plus Pack function has
been selected which has not yet been registered.

Click on ‘Update Registration details’ and choose your license type:

‘Standalone License’ or ‘Site License’:

Complete your contact data and ‘Send Request’:

3.2.1 Standalone License
After activation by the helpdesk, you will receive an email with the serial number and activation code.
You can complete your registration by pressing the ‘Activate' button in the ‘About' window:

After the activation, all active data is visible and Vault PlusPack App can be used.

3.2.2 Site License

After activation by the helpdesk, you will receive an email containing the activation key attached.
The activation key (which can be optionally merged with other keys) is to be placed at the location
%programdata%\Greenock CAD Service with the name Greenock.lic

The same activation key can be used for other computers in the same AD domain.

e.g. Greenock.lic:

Press ‘Help’ ( ) to open this file (help.pdf).

4.2.2 Helpdesk screen takeover with TeamViewer

Push the ‘TeamViewer’ button when asked by the helpdesk ( ) in the Vault ribbon or in the +Plus Pack
menu via a right mouse click. This will open the TeamViewer download and start up from
https://get.TeamViewer.com/f2jtcep

Remark: You will need an active internet connection.

4.2.3 Helpdesk registration form

You can easily report your issues with Vault or +Plus Pack via the helpdesk registration form. Your data
is prefilled. It suffices to describe your problem and press 'Send'. Large files can optionally be sent to our
helpdesk with the "Send large files' button ( ). The helpdesk registration form is only available for our
helpdesk subscribers.

Go to ‘About +Plus Pack’ ( ). See chapter 3.2

4.2.5 Show Internal Vault ID’s (ID’s and persistent ID’s)

You can visualize the internal Vault IDs with this feature. This is particularly interesting in custom
software or job processor. The ‘Persistent ID’ will not change in principle and is often used in interfaces
with external parties. Click on 'Show vault internal ID’s ( ).

Note: We distinguish "History File" versions and "Master File" (= latest) for persistent ID’s.

4.2.6 Clean Job Queue

Available through the Tools menu, +Plus Pack, Clean Job Queue ( ). This function will remove
unwanted job types from the queue. This feature is only available for Vault users with administrator 'role'.

Jobs which will be removed:

• Status FAILED + "Sync properties not allowed on non-tip versions"

Not the latest version
• Status FAILED + "Unable to retrieve File version for id"
On checking, the CAD visualization files were configured to be created by the Job Server. But
before they were created by the Job Processor, the user deleted the CAD files from the Vault.
• Status PENDING + unknown “Autodesk.Vault.DWF.Create” type
Delete infinite pending jobs for dwf creation of 'unknown' file types like *.doc, *.docx, *.xls, *.xlsx,
*.pdf, ...

Jobs which will ‘resubmit’:

• Status FAILED + "The new job processor service is not responding."

This error occurs if the JobProcessor.exe or Connectivity.JobProcessor.Delegate.Host.exe stops
responding.
4.2.7 Find items and queue (…to the Job Processor)

Available through the Tools menu, +Plus Pack, ‘Find items and Queue’ ( ). This function allows to add
+Plus Pack jobs (Inv2pdf, Inv2Dxf, Inv2Stp, …) or custom jobs to the job processor queue based on an
advanced search. This operation is like the standard ‘Find Ctrl+F’, you only need to specify a job type.

Searches can also be optionally stored for later use.

Via ‘Browse…’ you can point out 1 or more directories to search.
