1. Introduction
The questions of our customers prove the need of our users. Based on these questions,
Greenock developed some macros to simplify the usage of Vault. They provide added
value by automating manual tasks.
This ‘out of the box’ solution arose from years of experience with clients in various
sectors. This way, you increase your productivity and minimize the error rate in your
drawing room.
2. Installation
After the activation, all active data is visible and Vault PlusPack App can be used.
After activation by the helpdesk, you will receive an email containing the activation key attached.
The activation key (which can be optionally merged with other keys) is to be placed at the location
%programdata%\Greenock CAD Service with the name Greenock.lic
The same activation key can be used for other computers in the same AD domain.
e.g. Greenock.lic:

4. Functionalities
4.1 Options
Set +Plus Pack options (for all users), this feature is only available for Vault users with an ‘administrator
role':
Set the desired File, Directory, Custom object, Item or Change Order 'restrictions' by selecting it.
These actions can’t be performed any longer as from the next logon in Vault except by an administrator
‘role’. (also blocked for AutoCAD, Inventor, Office ...)
4.1.3.1 4-eyes check (file cannot be reviewed and released by the same person)
This works only for the ‘Flexible Release Process’ between ‘For Review’ and ‘Release’.
Push the ‘TeamViewer’ button when asked by the helpdesk ( ) in the Vault ribbon or in the +Plus Pack
menu via a right mouse click. This will open the TeamViewer download and start up from
https://get.TeamViewer.com/f2jtcep
You can easily report your issues with Vault or +Plus Pack via the helpdesk registration form. Your data
is prefilled. It suffices to describe your problem and press 'Send'. Large files can optionally be sent to our
helpdesk with the "Send large files' button ( ). The helpdesk registration form is only available for our
helpdesk subscribers.
You can visualize the internal Vault IDs with this feature. This is particularly interesting in custom
software or job processor. The ‘Persistent ID’ will not change in principle and is often used in interfaces
with external parties. Click on 'Show vault internal ID’s ( ).
Note: We distinguish "History File" versions and "Master File" (= latest) for persistent ID’s.
Available through the Tools menu, +Plus Pack, Clean Job Queue ( ). This function will remove
unwanted job types from the queue. This feature is only available for Vault users with administrator 'role'.
Available through the Tools menu, +Plus Pack, ‘Find items and Queue’ ( ). This function allows to add
+Plus Pack jobs (Inv2pdf, Inv2Dxf, Inv2Stp, …) or custom jobs to the job processor queue based on an
advanced search. This operation is like the standard ‘Find Ctrl+F’, you only need to specify a job type.
Choose the directory to which needs to be copied and the desired new name ‘Name (Copy)’ for the
directory. Optionally you can choose to copy the Category, Properties and Lifecycles states from the
original directories. As an administrator, you can even take over security.
This function must first be configured in the menu ‘Tools, +Plus Pack, Options…’, see chapter 4.1.1.
Click now ‘New default directories’ ( ).
Then select the appropriate subdirectories, and press ‘Add directories’. The selected directories will be
created in Vault in the selected directory.
Click on ‘Create Working Directories’ ( ). This function will create the selected directory in the
workspace. Optionally, the subdirectories can be created in the workspace.
This function first needs to be configured via the menu ‘Tools, +Plus Pack, Options…’, see chapter 4.1.1.
Choose one or more files, then choose a directory and the 'Populate File Properties' ( ). The configured
Vault properties are transferred from the directory to the selected file(s).
4.4 File functions
Select one or more files, then right mouse click and ‘+Plus Pack’:
With this function you can apply a default (or custom) job. Press ‘Submit job’ ( ) and select the desired
job type or set your own (custom) type. Then press ‘Queue job’.
Press ‘View in Thin Client’ ( ) to view the file in the Autodesk Vault Thin Client. This option is only
available in Vault Professional.
Press ‘Export Metadata’ ( ) to export the metadata (properties) to the workspace. This file will have the
same name as the original but with .xml extension.
Press ‘Export BOM’ ( ) to export the Inventor BOM data (BOM blob) to the workspace. This file will
have the same name as the original but with .xml extension.
4.4.5 Open related Inventor drawing
Press ‘Open related drawing’ ( ) to open the related Inventor drawing(s) in Inventor.
Tab control to list the items which have the selected items as ‘attachment’.
Tab control with a visual representation of the lifecycle statuses and transitions. Allowed transitions are
shown in green, unallowed transitions in gray.
