Educator’s Leadership Training Program
On the 12th day of March 2016, the College Department held the Leadership
Seminar for education students at Fr. Edmund Bahl Hall with the theme, “Global
Competent Leaders: Preparing Millennium Educators into Innovative & Global Quality
Education".

Educator’s Leadership Training Program focuses on the formation of leadership


among all educators of all year levels in San Ildefonso College. This aims to train,
practice and develop Educator’s skills in becoming global and competent leaders of new
millennium in any aspect or endeavor. This aims to help the educators live up to the
best character that a teacher has to be.

Before the seminar was started Mr. Alan Roi M. Macaso, the resource speaker,
discussed to the committees (4th year students) what the seminar is all about, he also
explained the different activities of the seminar which is team building. While waiting,
the students counted 1-9 to determine what groups they belong.

The seminar started with an opening prayer led by Ms. Mynette Mariano,
followed by the National Anthem, sung by Ms. Mary Maggie Torio. Dr. Evangeline M.
Macaso, Dean of College gave the opening remarks to arouse the students’ interest in
the planned activities. Mr. Jervy Mark A. Viray, the president of the Educators Club
introduced the resource speaker, Mr. Alan Roi M. Macaso who dealt with the topic on
“K12 Senior High School System”.

For the introduction of the topic Mr. Macaso gave different colors of “Meta Cards”
for each group. Wherein the color Red symbolizes strength, Blue: threat, Yellow:
opportunity and Green: weakness of the K12 Program, each group really enjoyed the
company of each other. They all shared their ideas and post it on the wall. After the
brainstorming of each group, Mr. Macaso discussed it. After that the speaker discussed
about “Framework for 21st Century Learners”.

The Part II of the seminar was Team Building. Mr. Lemuel G. Librea together with
the4th year ECE students gave an energizer to all the college students before starting
the team building. The afternoon session was interactive because the invited speaker
Mr. Alan Roi M. Macaso gave the educators different activities which taught the future
teachers the values of social responsibilities, unity and Teamwork.

The leadership training was a very fruitful learning experience for the college
students this school year 2015-2016.
