Rashmi Mala Mantra — Garlands of Rays

From the title one can understand easily that the topic of this discussion is about Rashmi
Mala Mantras — translated in English as “The Garlands of Rays of Mantra”. These are a set
of mantras which can be repeated by a Sri Vidya Sadhaka, tantra sastras says prefereably at
morning time or any favourable time before commencing the daily ritualistic.

Why chanting of this is important is mentioned in “Sri Parasurama Kalpa “ sutra a treatise on
Sri Vidya Sadhana. By chanting this mantras the body of sadhaka becomes one with Siva and
he is protected from all sides, from all negtive forces, from all influences of other dieties. It
can be considered as an armour. The one interesting thing which I felt about this set of
mantras is that for a SriVidya upasaka, this can be chanted in bed, just after waking up. But
care shoudl be taken to repeat this mentally to avoid disclosing it to others.

I am a sadhaka and I am only entitled to say some description about the mantras. By reading
this article one will get an authentic understanding what this mantras can, what they do. why
they chanting, but I am not in a position to reveal the actual mantras. They should be get
directly from a authentic guru itself. This can be also chanted by those who are initiated in Sri
Vidya mantras Panchadasi or Shodashi. Why I am writing this to let such sadhakas who are
doing Panchadasi or Shodashi to be aware about this so they can get an awareness about this.
Normally the guru initiates sadhaka in those, but still there are some exceptions which can
happen. Such sadhakas may find this article really beneficial. Mantras are explained below in
ascending order or recitation.

Gayathri Mantra — This is the first mantra, which is to be meditated at Root

Chakra(mooladhara). Imagine a blazing light centering around Muladhara radiates across ,
which burns all the physical and mental disturbances and negativities. The visualization is to
be done after repeating each mantra for a few seconds.

Aindree Vidya Mantra — This mantra is to be repeated to remove the fear which can happen
out of material, physical or spiritual reasons. Imagine the blzing ligth at heart chakra, spelling
cast across and removes the fear.

Surya Mantrah — Eight lettered mantra of surya. Should be imagined on forehead which

grants tejas and casts away all negative impurities and gives postive vibrance.

Suryah Pranavah Mantra — After repetition visualise on forehead blazing light which gives
salvation(life after benefits)

Thuriya gayathri mantra — Normally this mantra is given only to renunciates(sanyasis). Sri

Vidya sadhaka is above renunciate, so tantra sastras prescribed to repeat this on
dwadasantha(just above forehead and below sahasrarara) with blazing light grants the power
to renunciate and not over affected by attachment. Attachment is not a bad thing, nor a good
thing. Sadhaka should treat attachment with neutral mentality. The mantra bestows power for
that.

Chakshushmati Vidya Mantra — This is 16 lettered mantra, which grants precognition.

Precognition is an ability to foresee things which can happen. By chanting this mantra on
Root Chakra(mooladhara) with a blazing light which benefits the above power. This is an
important benefit which is required by sadhaka, which helpls them to early identify the
possiblities of an upcomign action, directly or indirectly. Sadhaka will get an idea about
upcoming events in advance , basically through nimittas or indrect references, which helps
them to tweak their behavour as required. Yesterday I watched a tamil movie named 24, in
which the actor gets an idea about the upcoming events and he tweak bevhour. Well that is
movie, we cant expect that much clarity, but as mantras benfits suggest this will surely help.

Gandharva Raja Mantra — This is a form of Vashya Mantra. Association with women in the
form of wife or any other way is a must required one for Sri Vidya. In otherwords the Sri
Vidya path is not for renunciates. This mantra shoudld be visualized in Hrith(Anahata) chakra
with blazing ligth which attracts the desired women.

Rudra Sankataharini Mantra — Worries are common in daily life. This particular mantra
nullifies the effect of worries. Unseeen forces act through other individuals to create worry
and depression. By nullyfying the effect, sadhaka becomes cool even amidst distrubed
circumstances. When circumstances fail to worry sadhaka, circumstances will subside by
itself.

Tara Mantra — This mantra will protect sadhaka from all trobles arising from Water. The
mantra is to be recited and meditated on crown chakra. Same form of mantra is also used by a
variety of Buddist Traditions. THe preface of famous books by Daniel Goleman, an eminent
pscyhologist, one can see dedication authors dedication to Tara. Being a buddist, Daniel
Goleman pays his respect to Tara. The same tara mantra is used in Sri Vidya sadhana too..

Vishnu NamaTrayee mantra — Three names of Vishnu combined formed this mantra, which
is to be meditaed on dwadasantha. The mantra protects sadhaka from a variety of diseases,
arising as a result of Sadhana. Due to sadhana, certain chemical imbalances can happen in
body which results in disturbance or in rare cases disease. This mantra helps to conteract the
effect so sadhaka will remain cool.

Tantra Mahaganapathi Mantra — A form of ganaathi mantra, by reciting which dissolves

trboules and blockaages in life of sadhaka. Mantra should be meditate on Root
Chakra(mooladhara)

Tatva Vimarshee Mantra — A form of mantra in which siva and sakthi are both meditated on
Hrith Chakra. Siva without sakthi is considered a corpse. Same has been confirmed by
Sankaracharya too in Saundaryalahari. In otherwords the mantra of Siva is meaningless
without the presence of Sakthi. The mantra evokes the power of siva and sakthi , in sadhakas
body.

Mrityunjaya Mantra — Often at times, negative forces in nature try to distrub peace by

evoking feelign of fear or negative worries or somtimes death. Not only death but the fear of
death also form part of this type of negativity. Mrityunjaya mantra conteracts the effect of
such negative influences. The mantra should be meditated on forehead and the sadhaka can
ignore the worries related to such negative things or even death. Sadhakas duty is to continue
with sadhana, not to worry about death. This mantra is different from normal mrityunjaya
mantra which is often used in Siva temples.
Shruthi Dharini Vidya mantra — Things once heard if its possible to rememeber in mind , will
be beneficial in every aspects of life. This mantra should be meditated on brahmarandhra and
improves the grasping power.

Matrukasarasvathi Mantra — One of the tantrik mantra forms of Goddess Saraswathi, this

mantra brings knowledge necessary for Sadhaka. Please dont confuse knowledge with that of
knowledge mentioned in Bhagavad Gita or any other religous books. The knowledge here
means what which applicaable to us or brings benefits to us. For eg. In workfield we may
required some form of knowledge to excel in partcular field. So knowledge is subjective and
depends on person to person. Whatever it may be the mantra helps to gain confidence in
particular knowledge so that sadhaka feels easy to continue his daily works. Without having
esatablsiehd in a cool mind in daily work, it is very diffuclt to continue in sadhana. Mantra
should be meditated on dwadasantha(the region above forehead)

Hadi Vidya Mantra — This is a secretive mantra of Sri Vidya for worshiping Goddess
Tripurasundari. Benefits is to get pleasure of Tripurasundari, which is be learned directly
from Guru. Not going into much detail.

Sampatkari Mantra — Related to a form of Mahalakshmi called “Sampat Sarasvathi”, the

mantra gives power to get riches enough so that sadhaka is not trobuleed by any worries
about money or daily necessities. All will be come naturaly without any extra effort.

Vidya Panchakarapooni Kalasamkarshini mantra — Only thing I know about this mantra is

that it should be meditated on forhead and useful for solving spiritual and mental troubles.

Shudha Jnana Vidya Mantra — Along with material life and prosperity, a bit of higher
spiritual knowledge helps to create a balance in life. For eg. If one is aware that he is one
with Tripursudnari and on a higher plane. it helps to elilminte unnesssary cravings. This
mantra helps to gain that knowledge and confidence. This should be meditated on
brahmarandhra. Sadhakas should note that a balance is required, they should not confuse with
non-quality teachings like “only spirituality or brahma vidya is highest” and rest are to be
ignored.

Para Vidya Mantra — Should be meditated on dwadasntha. This brings immense pwoer and
faith to continue sadhana.

Navakshari Bala Mantra — This mentra is towards Bala — A child form of Tripursundari. One
gets blessings of bala devi , by which one gets easy access to the realm of Lalta
Mahatripurasundari by virtue of this mantra. On the material plane , bala helps to gain
confidence in sadhana and victory in word power, which is a requirement for those
specifically in marketing or service fields.

Annapurna Mantra — Food is a must requirement for every humans and sadhaka is of no

exception. So Sri Vidya tradition includes this mantra also as part of daily sadhana, reason
being without food no one can even survive, nothing to say about sadhana. My meditating on
this mantra at root chakra, the sadhaka is never trouble by poverty, especialy the lack of food.
He should not bother about food at any times. Please not that the meanings has to be
understood in pure sense. What it means is sadhaka wont get trouble from poverty. Not
means that if he wants a Chicken Fry it will be readily avaialble next due to the power of
mantra. Judgement should be reasonable.
Aswarooda Mantra — This is a form of Vashya mantra, used for attraction. Should be learned
directly from guru, as mistakes with aswarooda can harm onself.

GuruPaduka Mantra — Should be given by guru.

Varahi Mantras — Should be learned directly from guru.

Hope the readers get an overall idea about Rashmi Mala mantras used in Sri Vidya sadhana.
My aim of writing this was to create an awareness to those who are not having any idea about
Rashmi Mala mantras. I got able to write this only becaue of Blessings from my Guru and I
