Identity Reaction Paper

Identity was a movie a released last April 25, 2003. It is an American Psychological thriller and
was directed by James Mangold. The film stars John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet, Alfred
Molina, Clea DuVall and Rebecca De Mornay. The story revolves around ten people that were
forced to stay in a motel due to the storm. The road was flooded due to the heavy rainfall. There
was an ex-cop that’s now a driver of an actress in 1980s, an officer, a prostitute, newlyweds, and
the York family. The motel was name Nevada motel was owned by Larry Washington. The
killings started and they suspected the convicted murderer that was brought by the officer. They
also discovered that every killings, there was a sequential room key.

This was only made up by Rivers in his head since he was suffering from dissociative identity
disorder. He was being defended by his defense lawyer that the he was unaware of the murders
he did. Being executed was against the law because of the mental condition of Rivers. The
ending of situation in the motel was Paris, the prostitute, was the only one who survived. This
means that the other personalities that were created by Rivers are all gone. They didn’t know that
Timmy, the son of the York family, was alive and the personality who did all of the killings. In
Rivers head, Timmy killed Paris while Rivers tries to kill his defense lawyer.

It was an eye opener to all of us. Not all of us have knowledge about Dissociative Identity
Disorder. It may give us a warning on how to deal with people who have this condition. We also
knew what is happening in their heads and how they portray every personality that they were
creating. Since Rivers acts every personality that is going in his mind. Even the handwriting that
of a certain personality was different from others. You may definitely think that different people
were writing to the journal that was owned by Rivers.

The movie was also great; it keeps you think on who is the real killer because of the evidence
that is being shown. You may change your suspect when people were being killed. There’s even
an accidents but still has the room key beside the body of the one who’s killed. It keeps you
interested and wait till the real suspect is shown although it was unexpected that the young boy
was the killer after all. I almost thought that it was a supernatural that plays with them.

Therefore I conclude that Identity was a great movie as a whole. It gives us a lot of
understanding about a certain disorder. It also gives us a great scare in a lot of scenes. It keeps
you wonder about the unidentified murderer.
 Babies for Sale Reaction Paper

It’s all about the bad effect of social media. There’s a lot of things that we can do, one of them is
having a transaction between people. Social media is very useful for all of us. That’s why we
can’t avoid people who utilize social media for bad purposes. One of the most used social media
platform is Facebook where we can communicate freely with other people.

One of the most horrible crimes that can be done within Facebook is Human Trafficking wherein
people are selling infants through posting. People who couldn’t make a baby try to find one in
this platform. Because of poverty in our country, a lot of people were forced to sell their babied
in exchange of money.it is illegal for us to sell babies even though you have consent from
parents. Some people try to steal babies from the hospital or other places just to sell them

Upon watching the documentary “Babies for sale Ph” by Atom Araullo, we’re disappointed
because of their acts. They weren’t sure for their buyer’s identity; it will risk the child’s safety.
They can be used in pornography, prostitution, crime and they can be sold. This isn’t only
happening in our country but it’s occurring in other country including Indonesia, china and other
countries. But behind all of these, some people who were selling babies only wanted their child
to have a better life that they can’t give.

Christine was one of the people who planned to sell their child. She wasn’t ready to take care of
all the needs and responsibilities of having a child since she was left alone by her boyfriend. NBI
conducted a setup to those people who were involved in selling babies through Facebook groups.
NBI concluded that the arrested people already know the steps on doing their jobs. DSWD stated
that adopting child legally costs cheaper than doing it illegally. Babies sold in Facebook groups
lack in documents.

Therefore, we conclude, selling babies online and without any consent from the government
organization are strictly illegal. Poverty forces people to do something bad. We pity the infants
who had been sold because we weren’t sure of their future since we don’t know that will happen
to them. It’s really hard for us to accept this kind of crime is still happening. We are hoping that
one day, no more babies will be sold to other people/
