1  Removal of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation

Crossover Tube
Remove as follows:

1. Loosen the two hose clamps (1) on the venturi to mixer pipe connector hose (2).

2. Slide the connector hose (2) fully on the mixer pipe. If hose is cut, torn, or cracked, then remove
and discard it.
3. Disconnect the delta-P sensor electrical harness connector.
4. Remove the two bolts attaching the venturi pipe to the exhaust gas crossover tube.

5. Remove the bolt attaching the exhaust gas crossover tube to the coolant crossover tube (1).
6. Remove the bolt attaching the coolant crossover tube (1) to the exhaust gas crossover tube.
7. Remove the six bolts attaching the exhaust gas crossover tube (1) to the cylinder head.

8. Slide the exhaust gas crossover tube off the exhaust gas connecting tube (1) and remove from
engine.
9. Remove the exhaust gas connector tube from the EGR cooler. Inspect the exhaust gas connector
tube for cuts, tears, or cracks or other signs of damage. If damage is found, replace the exhaust
gas connector tube.
