The main culprit of the crime!

All fingers are pointing at me cursing my existence. Their furious eyes are blazing
like the fire of hell, and their teeth pulled together in an intense animosity inflicting so
much pain in me as I stood motionless at the sad plight of the victims in their fateful rush
to the House of Hades. I hate to have caused all the mess, but how can I resist my
instinct and nature that is to thrive in a habitat they have given me a chance to breed
inducing the so-called dengue fever?
Dengue has affected many lives throughout the tropics and subtropics. For as
long as there are breeding grounds created by people, dengue will continue to flourish
and will claim many lives. At the onset, dengue can be recognized through the
symptoms such as headache, fever, exhaustion, severe joint and muscle pain, swollen
glands and rash. As the illness progresses, the fever will be accompanied with bleeding
on the nose which becomes fatal if left untreated. This will last to one to two weeks.
At the height of this pandemic, the government, through the Department of
Science and Technology (DOST) has come up with alternative means to prevent the
dengue causing mosquito to exist. Moreover, the department has continuously
searching for some breakthroughs to permanently curb dengue.
But, are all these things enough without the cooperation of the main stars of the
show? You, people are too kind enough to have given me space to live. You know in
the first place that when I exist, scourge is embedded. Ironically, you hate my presence,
yet you have always offered me a beautiful shelter to stay and propagate. I have
travelled from afar wandering every corner of the universe to look for a place called
home. Now, your hospitality has caused you a lot. I would never mind dying looking for
a place to stay since I know that I am forever a parasite, a rejected and scorned
creature that everybody loathes.
Hey, come on, let me tell you I have been through those cleaned places and
drainages but could not stay there any longer since they are not ideal places for me to
stay. I keep searching until I come to see your yard filled with amenities. Here I am
growing into numbers and eventually rushing to where you are to suck your blood to
sustain my craving as I have been born to be a bloodsucker. Hate me more, but this
could never prevent me from biting you till you succumb to death. As a creature who
wants to survive like you, I also have to follow the survival instincts I have.
Now, would you just throw out the blame to me alone? If I cause the devastation,
well…I am just next to the main culprit of the crime….and that is you people. You want
me to live longer, then spare me those mansion like spaces around you and I assure
you I will build a paradise there that will cause your entire ruin.
Stop those fingers pointing at me because you don’t have the right to just put all
the blame on me. I hate to see your men dying, but I can do nothing if you just want me
to stay.
