This study aims to conduct the collection of primary data through interviews as part of the
dissertation module at Loughborough University, London. Your contributions are integral
for the study’s purpose to understand the practical implications of Indian television dramas
on defining female identities in the societal structures of the country.
This study is part of a Student research project under the supervision of Dr Rohit
Dasgupta, supported by Loughborough University London.

To begin with, you will be asked to answer a few general questions regarding your TV
viewing habits, based on which the questions will then continually become more
personalized towards you and your perspective and opinions. There is no set time limit for
the interview, as the study would favour your free and unobstructed take on the subject.
Moreover, the study would also like for you to dive in as deep into your answers as you
prefer to disclose.
Yes. After you have read this information and asked any questions you may have we will
ask you to complete an Informed Consent Form, however if at any time, before, during or
after the sessions you wish to withdraw from the study please just contact the main
investigator. You can withdraw at any time, for any reason and you will not be asked to
explain your reasons for withdrawing.
However, once the results of the study are aggregated (expected to be by December
2019) it will not be possible to withdraw your individual data from the research.
Will I be required to attend any sessions and where will these be?
You will be required to attend one interview session at a place that preferred and agreed
upon by both yourself and the researcher.
No personal information that you do not wish to disclose will be requested, and no
information beyond that which is outlined in the attached survey/interview questions.
Yes, only the researcher will be aware of who you are. You name and any other private
information will be anonymised and you identity will not be included in the project.

The results of this study will be submitted as part of the coursework for the Masters
Degree from Loughborough University London.
